The following is a narrative taken from Sunday Morning's
televised "Meet The Press'. The author is employed by none other than the Washington Post!!

From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General also stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".

Senator Obama replied:

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression."

"The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???

Obama said: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of waring people, conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ."

When I become President, I will seek a pact or
agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice which is WHY my Wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".

"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America "

America, I apologize. I apologize for not knowing about this article sooner. I would have shouted it from the rooftops of our society before the '08 election. Is there any doubt that this man is bent on tearing down America economically, spiritually, and physically so that it can be re-built in an Islamic fashion? He can do it. Two years is a long time to incorporate the seeds of destruction, but all is not lost. We, as Americans, still have the heart and soul of our Founding Fathers coursing through our veins. We can still stand against tyranny. We need to be prepared and act in defense of our constitution daily.

Yeah for Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA, YES ! OKLAHOMA MAY JUST BE THE PLACE TO LIVE!

An update from Oklahoma :

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to
place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The
feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a
conservative state, based on Christian values...! HB 1330

Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal
immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to
get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered.

HB 1804. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state. This was against the
advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a
mistake.

Guess what.......... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to
the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it
was unconstitutional. SB 1102

Guess what........Oklahoma did it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. Joining Texas , Montana and Utah as the only states to do so. More states are likely to follow:
Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri,
Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Florida. Save your confederate money,
it appears the South is about to rise up once again. HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set
back for the criminals (and Obamaites). Liberals didn't like it--

But ...Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, my state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language. We have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of our road signs are in English only. If you want to drive in Oklahoma, you must read and write English. Really simple.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.

Guess what....who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.

Arise Patriots in Defense of Your Country

So many people refuse to see what is happening right before our eyes. Within my lifetime, years ago, this country would have been in open rebellion over the things that are going on in Washington. Within the last week Obama has given Interpol more authority on American soil than our own government has.

The government is now taxing the guns Americans own. They must be registered and taxed. Every clip and every type of gun must be declared. What a sneaky way to find out how many Americans are armed.

Oklahoma has the right idea. Show The Government who really has control over their state. Take illegal immigration for instance, if you don't belong, then away you go....period! Check out their other firm standings in my "Yeah for Oklahoma" blog.

Some people called me crazy before the elections because I warned America about this very thing. Who am I anyway? A young woman of 47that wasn't around during WW II? I don't have a college education. In fact I only know one person who lived through the concentration camps in Germany. This person, whom I call Dad Sluyter (not a biological father), is now gone from us. In fact many from that era are slipping away. The younger generation has no real clue about what happened.

I present to you Dr. Kaiser, a student of history, who does know what he is talking about. It sounds reminiscent of what was written a year ago.

Maybe he is wrong. What if he is right?

David Kaiser is a respected historian whose published works have covered a broad range of topics, from European Warfare to American League Baseball. Born in 1947, the son of a diplomat, Kaiser spent his childhood in three capital cities: Washington D.C., Albany, New York and Dakar, Senegal . He attended Harvard University, graduating there in 1969 with a B.A. in history. He then spent several years more at Harvard, gaining a PhD in history, which he obtained in 1976. He served in the Army Reserve from 1970 to 1976.

He is a professor in the Strategy and Policy Department of the United States Naval War College. He has previously taught at Carnegie Mellon, Williams College and Harvard University. Kaiser's latest book, The Road to Dallas, about the Kennedy assassination, was just published by Harvard University Press.

History Unfolding

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes,

a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years. The

pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?

We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700 billion we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of "we the people," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.

We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why?

We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why?

We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it simply wants marriage to remain defined as between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?) We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?

Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, social security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and I know precisely what I am talking about) - the list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially 1929 x ten...And we are at war with an enemy we cannot even name for fear of offending people of the same religion, who, in turn, cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And finally, we have elected a man that no one really knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla , Alaska ... All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it.

Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word:Change. Why?

I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.

This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.

And that is only the beginning..

As a serious student of history, I thought I would never come to experience what the ordinary, moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s In those times, the "savior" was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they should have known was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory. Conservative "losers" read it right now.

And there were the promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and frowned and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully and beat them into submission. Which they did - regularly. And then, he was duly elected to office, while a full-throttled economic crisis bloomed at hand - the Great Depression. Slowly, but surely, he seized the controls of government power, person by person, department by department, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The children of German citizens were, at first, encouraged to join a Youth Movement in his name where they were taught exactly what to think. Later, they were required to do so. No Jews of course,

How did he get people on his side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe, and across the world. He did it with a compliant media - did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and .... . .. change. And the people surely got what they voted for.

If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It's all there in the history books.

So read your history books. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.

Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe. It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors.. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me.

I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.

I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections.

Famous Family Night Reviewed on LDS Women's Book Review

I was thrilled to read Sheila's review of Famous Family Nights over on LDS Women's Book Review yesterday.

Sheila sent me an email interview earlier in the week and I nearly missed responding because we have a house move in process. I didn't know a blog post was this imminent, so it was a lovely surprise on a cold, wet, way-too-busy day. Thank you, Sheila, and the staff at LDS Women's Book Review. You all do a great job letting readers know about current LDS books.

I have to say, one of my favorite sections was written by one of my favorite author friends, Josi Kilpack, called "Healthy Bodies, Healthy Spirits". It made me crack up! Josi has the best sense of humor and it shows in her contribution to this book! :) Then I really appreciated the section by, Shannon Hoffman. She also is a single parent like me. It was good to see how to have FHE's when you are having to fly solo and keeping things running in your family. I also really loved Eric Dodge, a country music singer, and his chapter called, "Nothing as Valuable as Family". I have to admit here, I could go through this whole book and tell you what I liked about each chapter. I found something worthwhile to be used with my own little family, from every contributor.

I highly recommend this book to every family out there! It doesn't matter what kind of family you are, there is something for you in this great book that Anne Bradshaw compiled. With Christmas heading our way quickly, this book would be a fabulous gift for family members.

A Reverent Tribute to My Father

"The Great and Dreadful Trip to Disneyland

Memories of Grandpa always started in the morning and worked their way through the day. Coffee; just the word conjures up images of the jolly, old man I know as Grandpa. Coffee leads to images of breakfast. Not just any breakfast, but a full concourse of food. Proteins, carbohydrates, fruits and sugars were on the menu when he came to visit. Images of old cars, peacocks and auctions added to the uniqueness of this man. How then did I not cry when he died?

The end began with a trip to Disneyland. The anticipation of the trip mounted as each week went creeping by. This rare occasion of a family vacation was courtesy of my sister Jennifer. Her financial windfall paid for the trip. The timing of the trip was courtesy of my cousin Barney. He was getting married.

A two night stay in Las Vegas wasn’t necessarily the happiest moment of the trip. The heat was producing its own sweat. It lay heavy, smothering all foreigners.

The lights of Las Vegas were nice the first time I saw them, but it got old really fast. Eating out at restaurants is very high on my list of pet peeves. Las Vegas had buffets. The buffets were located inside the casinos. The casinos were brightly lit 24/7 with neon lights. Glitz is nice for the occasional festivity. How could someone live in glitz all the time?

The wedding itself was bearable, but only barely. The wedding was held in an upper room of a bar. The scenic over view was on an open patio. The misting fans were of little comfort.

The theme of the wedding/reception was the roaring twenties. The groom and groomsmen were dressed as mafia. The bride and her maids were flappers. The crowd was mixed with jean and T-shirt well wishers, along with the well dressed family members. The Word of Wisdom was hidden behind society’s alcoholic vices.

Add all of these ingredients, mix well and come out of Las Vegas with a troubled stomach and a headache. The escape from such a different environment was greeted with new books from Barnes and Noble. A smile was now firmly on my face as we left the City of Lights and headed towards Las Angeles.

Las Angeles was a different creature from either Rigby or Las Vegas. We stayed with a friend of the family named Kathy. Her one bedroom apartment somehow fit our party of four and her household of two. Cramped it may have been, but the comfort of a home was nice.

Her hospitality reminded me of my Grandpa as she offered eggs, toast, cereal, scones and fruit for breakfast. She gave the kids full control of the remote. Beds were made up on the floor at night and taken up in the morning. Homemade curtains and second hand furniture completed the comfortable atmosphere of her home.

Finally the day I had anticipated for months, dawned ever so casually in the California sky. Cloud cover made the weather perfect. The sea breeze made me forget all about the scorching Nevada desert we had left the day before.

Arriving at the magical land of amusement, which was once only a dream in the mind of its creator, we were pleasantly surprised. Disneyland offered a free three day pass to American vets. Mom qualified. The dependents of the vet received discounted three day passes. Jenn’s financial savings were over three hundred dollars.

I wanted the first stop to be in Adventure Land. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride called to me in the steady beating of my heart. My heart burned as if I were truly a descendant of Jack Sparrow.

Alas, it was not to be so. After all my sister was paying for this trip and her heart was as light as the blue birds that accompanied Cinderella, so Fantasy Land was our first stop.

Roller coasters and water rides filled our morning. Our minds were focused on the next area of excitement. The lines were of no consequence since Mom was our ticket to the head of the line for every ride. We had finally found a good use for her physical ailments!

The day past swiftly. We hesitated when buying souvenirs. We still had two more days of adventure to figure out what we wanted. Little did we know that night, our window of opportunity closed as we walked out of the park.

Our group made its way back to our home away from home, crashing instantly when we hit the beds. We dreamed of the joy and fun we had experienced that day; waiting for yet another to come.

Chinatown was the adventure for the new day. This was a new cultural experience for me. The closest I had ever gotten to China was at a restaurant. I saw in movies how the Chinese in Chinatown always said “one dollar” or “five dollar”; I thought that it was a bunch of bologna. Lo and behold Hollywood does not exaggerate everything; the Chinese there indeed speak in that manner.

We were walking down the street taking everything in when we decided that we would go into one store. As we meandered through the store we discovered a “back room”. To our disbelief the back room turned out to be a bazaar which covered the entire block. We walked in fascination as one stall after another appeared before us. It was like a maze. We almost got lost, but who can really get lost when we’re talking about a one block area? Clothes were bought at low prices. After much walking and shopping we decided it was time to head back home. It still boggles my mind when I think we spent half a day shopping and only covered one block. Grandpa would have had a blast there.

We dropped Kathy off at her place and headed for Jack’s cousin’s house. We planned on staying the night in a motel and leave the next day. Dinner was at their house. They had no kids at home so I just read my book.

When I reached the end of my book we got the call. It seemed like fate. Grandpa had passed away. I didn’t cry. Maybe somehow I knew it was going to happen. Maybe I just thought it was time.

There would not be another day at Disneyland. The excitement and anticipation now slipped quietly away; a natural reverence for a man who had brought so much amusement and joy into my life.

It’s been four months since Grandpa died. I still haven’t cried. I’m not sad. I don’t think my grandpa would want me to be sad. Even now, when I think of him, I smell the faintest scent of coffee, almost as if he’s right here with me. "

This was written by my daughter as a class assignment. What a beautiful, reverent tribute to her grandfather.

My father died from complications of diabetes which was contracted from exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. His last day on earth was spent fully serving others. Planting vegetables ina garden for his wife, driving the elderly to a doctors appointment (he was 72 when he died) and was in the process of checking on a sick member of his church when he had a massive heart attack and died.

His life wasn't always so pure and devoted, but his true conversion to Jesus Christ is an example for us all. When he learned a principle or concept about Christs doctrine he would implement into his own life. He shared his thoughts and reasoning with his children. He was in short a good man.

Telling It Like It Is

Way to GO Preparedness Pro!! Straight forward and to the point. You gotta love it. If you like this article, then you also need to be watching Glenn Beck.

Preparedness is a full-time job for me. I live it, breathe it, and think about it constantly. Obviously I teach and write about it regularly as well. I used a Saturday this weekend to learn about how I can be better prepared. Then I spent some more “spare” time reading a novel that illustrates other possibilities I may not be prepared for yet. Why? Because I believe that preparedness is about honor.

Many people would label those who strive to be better prepared as paranoid lunatics. And yet they would not think of calling our honorable men and women who serve in the military, who are on night watch with AR-15s in hand right now, “paranoid.” Are those of us who are watching carefully to what is going on around us and trying to mitigate our losses of life and freedom “paranoid?” No. A person who is prepared is honorable. They are willing to carry their own weight to protect themselves and those they love, instead of naively or cowardly delegating that responsibility to others. We are all night watchmen. We all need to honorably command our posts as careful guards over our family’s safety, nutrition, and peace. None can delegate that responsibility without bringing shame upon themselves. It’s hard to think this way when we’re enjoying life’s luxuries or being tossed to and fro with life’s schedule, but it doesn’t change the state of what truly is. There is honor in being prepared, not paranoia.

If you’re not paranoid, then surely you must be crazy, right? Tell that to the police officer who disciplines himself to train 3 times a week with his firearm instead of relinquishing his lifesaving skills to the whopping TWO times a year his department pays for firearm training. He’s not crazy. He values the breath of life—whether it be his own, his partner, his family, or members of his community. The Supreme Court says he’s not obligated to protect any citizen—he’s only required to protect the interests of the State, City or County he’s hired by. So certainly he doesn’t require shooting practice 3 times a week to protect a non-living, breathing entity, right? (Yes, that’s sarcasm.) We are ALL defenders of our community, family, and selves. We cannot delegate that responsibility to someone else—not today and certainly not in the future in the midst of some disaster. There is honor in being prepared, not a label of being mentally deranged.

Preparedness isn’t about hoarding. It doesn’t mean you have a scarcity mentality. If that were the case then there are millions of farmers, Amish, and Mennonite people throughout the U.S. that believe that the world as we know it will end tomorrow. (This list would also include the founders of Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s!) It isn’t hoarding to have a year’s supply of food, water, and other necessities. Rather it’s the epitome of the Boy Scout theme! Having supplies of food and water has nothing to do with hoarding. It’s about fighting back against inflation, poisonous food recalls, disasters, crazy crowds, limited time, future “nutrition” manipulation, water contamination, etc. It doesn’t take much more time to pay for 6 cases of chicken than it does to pay for one. And at least one who prepares is PAYING for their items. Would our critics prefer that we simply become looters in a time of trouble and chaos? I watch herds of looters on my television screen every time a disaster of a hurricane or tornado is imminent. And I still have yet to seen one of the cowardly opportunists be prosecuted in court. Is it not more honorable to financially stabilize our homes by being prepared with the bounty that is available now, rather than become criminals or desperate cowards in the future? Clearly, there is honor in being prepared, not a scarcity mentality.

Is there one shred of honor in the person who claims “I’m coming to your house when things go south” and means it? How would you respond if a person were to say, “When I run out of money, I’m coming to your bank account”? Or “When I get sick because I was foolish, I’m bringing my disease to your house to let you care for me.” “When I lose my job, I’ll just eat your food, have you pay my bills, and pay for my schooling.” Of course there’s no honor, integrity, or virtue in these thought processes. And yet it is these same individuals who mock and impede those who would prepare themselves for just such occasions. When one takes themselves out of the selfish “me, me, me” mode and begins to think about the care and nurturing of others, there’s honor. When one decides NOT to violate eternal laws by delegating the responsibility of taking care of their fellowmen to some governmental agency, there’s honor. When one looks past today to prepare for the well-being of those they love tomorrow, there’s honor. When one actually prepares to put themselves in a position where they actually HAVE something to share with others who have nothing, there’s honor.

Yes, there is certainly honor in being prepared.

America Don't Be Fooled

The fight (struggle from within) is for the individual freedoms of American citizens. Call it Health care Reform or Co-op it is the same idea under a different label. The government is our own worst enemy right now. We have allowed them in our homes and lives to the extent that their God complex has been shaped by the very people they are sworn to protect.

As a military member I swore to protect this country from all enemies foreign and domestic. Well people it is domestic now and we need to protect this land with every ounce of energy we have. Town hall meetings, phone calls, pressure on congress and the mighty word are working across the nation. Our one voice has become many. The volume is ever increasing in the ears of Washington. Our coastal waves will soon be an over whelming tide of Americans demanding their voices be heard and obeyed.

This article that follows is precise as to what Washington wants to do with health care reform. Do not be fooled. It is still as dangerous as before.

"Co-op Compromise" is Plan B for Obama - not a victory for America

It appears that the public option is being dumped in favor of the "co-op". While this might seem like a victory, it is far from it - it is a compromise to ever expanding government.

Government is teetering on the edge of critical mass and invading every aspect of our lives. The rapid pace of the Obama Adminstration's expansion was made possible by the slow encroachment of growing government - on a groundwork built by Democrats and Republicans alike for almost 100 years now.

The "co-op" option coming out of D.C. right now is just one more such encroachment, one more incremental click towards totalitarianism. If it is wrong to have a public option, why is it right for government to seed non-profit cooperatives? If government intervention is wrong, it is wrong on principle. Wrong on the principle that it still violates the rights of some individuals who are forced to pay for cooperatives that they do not wish to participate in.

This point should be made very clearly - if there are 299,999,999 Americans who want government to pay for insurance, but just 1 who opposes it. That single American should not be forced to spend a penny on any kind of public plan, because we don't live in a democracy that allows society to bully individuals, we live in a republic that upholds the rights of individuals.

Our pressure should not relent, all representatives should be held to the standards set by our Founders in their fight for our republic. Any representative that supports a co-op plan supports the status quo of government intervention in our lives.

We must advocate for Capitalism which is the only system that subordinates the will of the government to the will of the individual.

The version of President Obama's universal health care plan pending in the U.S. House would require "end-of-life" counseling for senior citizens, and the former lieutenant governor for the state of New York is warning people to "protect their parents" from the measure.

At issue is section 1233 of the legislative proposal that deals with a government requirement for an "Advance Care Planning Consultation."

Betsy McCaughey, the former New York state officer, told former president candidate Fred Thompson during an interview on his radio program the "consultation" is no more or less than an attempt to convince seniors to die.

"One of the most shocking things is page 425, where the Congress would make it mandatory absolutely that every five years people in Medicare have a required counseling session," she said. "They will tell [them] how to end their life sooner."

The proposal specifically calls for the consultation to recommend "palliative care and hospice" for seniors in their mandatory counseling sessions. Palliative care and hospice generally focus only on pain relief until death.

The measure requires "an explanation by the practitioner of the continuum of end-of-life services and supports available, including palliative care and hospice, and benefits for such services and supports that are available under this title."

Then there's a third reference that sets out reporting requirements for doctors to monitor how such end-of-life orders are followed.

Under "QUALITY REPORTING INITIATIVE," the bill says, "For purposes of reporting data on quality measures for covered professional services furnished during 2011 and any subsequent year, to the extent that measures are available, the Secretary shall include quality measures on end of life care and advanced care planning that have been adopted or endorsed by a consensus-based organization, if appropriate. Such measures shall measure both the creation of and adherence to orders for life-sustaining treatment."

McCaughey said she was stunned.

"As a patient advocate I am so shocked at the vicious assault on elderly people and the boomer generation," she told Thompson. "I hope people listening will protect their parents from what is intended under this bill."

She cited the federal provision that such counseling sessions must be administered every five years. If there's a significant change in the person's health or status during that time, such as an ordinary move to a nursing home because of declining physical abilities, the counseling must be administered again.

The message, she said, is "to do what's in society's best interests, and cut your life short."

"Can you imagine the response of the American people (when they find out)?" Thompson asked..

McCaughey is a health policy expert who founded HospitalInfection.org to stop hospital-acquired infections as well as DefendYourHealthCare.us concerning the proposed nationalization of health care.

The law also allows preferences that treatment levels set up by patients "may range from an indication for full treatment to an indication to limit some or all … interventions."

McCaughey also said the Obama administration is suggesting that medical care be withheld from seniors based on the expected years they have left to live. Such a program already is in effect in the United Kingdom, where patients losing their eyesight to age-related macular degeneration cannot be given an eyesight-saving medication until they lose sight in one eye.

Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty.

The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained..

"Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute!

"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

This is very alarming. This IS NOT an exercise for FEMA to practice disaster relief. This page states very clearly that this exercise will "focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery".

Federal gun regulators have written to gun dealers around Tennessee, dropping the hammer on a new state law that exempts weapons made, sold and used inside the state from interstate regulations.

The letter, dated just days ago, was distributed to holders of Federal Firearms Licenses.

In it, Carson W. Carroll, the assistant director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, told dealers the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act, adopted this year, "purports to exempt personal firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition manufactured in the state, and which remain in the state, from most federal firearms laws and regulations."

The exemption is not right, the federal agency letter contends.

"As you may know, federal law requires a license to engage in the business of manufacturing firearms or ammunition, or to deal in firearms, even if the firearms or ammunition remain with the same state," the letter said. "All firearms manufactured by a licensee must be properly marked. Additionally, each licensee must record the type, model, caliber or gauge, and serial number of each firearm manufactured or otherwise acquired, and the date such manufacture or other acquisition was made.

"These, as well as other federal requirements and prohibitions, apply whether or not the firearms or ammunition have crossed state lines," the letter said.

The law was adopted by the state Legislature this year. It provides that "federal laws and regulations do not apply to personal firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition that is manufactured in Tennessee and remains in Tennessee." It also carries exemptions for certain types of weapons and ammunition and the requirement that all firearms made or sold in the state have "Made in Tennessee" on them.

Tennessee is not the first state to move in this direction. WND reported earlier that Utah was considering such a plan, and the state of Montana earlier adopted its own gun exemption procedure.

Montana's bill provides that guns, ammo, accessories, silencers and other products made, sold and used in the state would not require any federal documentation, registration, serial numbers, records check or waiting period.

The pushback from the states comes at a time when the federal administration is replete with anti-gun activists in influential positions, including an attorney general, Eric Holder, who supported a complete handgun ban in the District of Columbia before it was tossed by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Obama administration has even pushed for a treaty that would require sportsmen who reload their ammunition to obtain a federal license.

The Montana plan cites the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that "guarantees to the states and their people all powers not granted to the federal government elsewhere in the Constitution and reserves to the state and people of Montana certain powers as they were understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889."

"The guaranty of those powers is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889," the Montana plan states.

"The regulation of intrastate commerce is vested in the states under the 9th and 10th amendments to the United States Constitution, particularly if not expressly pre-empted by federal law. Congress has not expressly pre-empted state regulation of intrastate commerce pertaining to the manufacture on an intrastate basis of firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition," it says.

Further, state lawmakers cite the Second Amendment right of the people to "keep and bear arms as that right was understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889."

The Tennessee plan includes many of the same arguments.

The Tennessee Gun Owners website includes this comment: "And the battle begins. I don't believe this was unexpected. According to the 10th Amendment, the state has authority. Tennessee is applying its constitutional rights. The feds are saying, no, the Constitution doesn't count. Calling all lawyers!"

In Montana, a Democrat governor signed the gun exemption law; in Tennessee, a Democrat governor allowed the gun exemptions to become law without his signature.

At Resistnet.com, there was a discussion among hundreds of members who have stated their willingness to bring a lawsuit against the federal government over the issue.

"The sovereign state of Tennessee should stand her ground. If people would stand up to the bully (Big Brother) we might take back some of the rights that have been stolen from us. It will not be comfortable. It will not be easy. But, it can be done, if we want it bad enough," said one participant.

One other was a little less eloquent, but his message came through.

"This is a crock! This is a free state and it's time to tell the thieves in Washington to butt out."

The weapons definitions are part of a general move on the part of states – Alaska being the most recent – to simply declare their sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.

About three dozen states have begun working on such plans.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin signed House Joint Resolution just days ago. It "claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States."

The joint resolution does not carry the force of law, but supporters say it is a significant move toward getting their message out to other lawmakers, the media and grassroots movements.

While seven states – Tennessee, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Alaska and Louisiana – have had both houses of their legislatures pass similar decrees, Palin signed Alaska's Tenth Amendment declaration and Tennessee's governor signed that state's Tenth Amendment declaration of sovereignty.

In 1962, the timetable was set for Codex to be fully implemented on a global level by December 31, 2009. Under Codex, committees were established to create guidelines on such topics as fish and fisheries, fats and oils, fruits and vegetables, ground nuts, nutrition, food for specialized uses, and vitamins and minerals. There were 27 committees in all, creating a huge bureaucracy. Under Codex there are over 4,000 guidelines and regulations on everything that can be put into your mouth with the exception of pharmaceuticals which are not regulated by Codex.

Codex is a weapon being used to reduce the level of nutrition worldwide

Codex is an industry dominated regulation setting organization, and as such has no legal standing. Participation in Codex is said to be voluntary. But Codex has risen to the level of de facto legal standing because Codex is administered by the WHO and FAO. They fund it and run it at the request of the UN. Since the WHO and FAO are supposed to be about health, there is conflict of interest. The committees of Codex work up guidelines, rules and regulations, and present them to a Codex commission for ratification. Once they are ratified and approved by consensus, they become mandatory for any country that is a member of the WHO.

Codex was accepted when the WTO was formed in 1994 as a means of harmonizing food standards globally for easy trade between countries. As a result, countries must harmonize with Codex if they want to have any standing in a trade dispute. When disputes arise and countries are pulled in to WTO, the one that is Codex compliant automatically wins, regardless of the merits of its case.

Dr. Laiblow sees codex as a weapon to make every nation scurry to become compliant to the decline in nutritional standards. She points out that compliance in the U.S. will mark the end of its consumer protection laws. Codex will not serve consumers. Codex will serve the interests of the medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, and big agricultural industries.

Under Codex, nutrients are classified as poisons

The Dietary Substances Health and Education Act (DSHEA), was signed into law in 1994 for the purpose of ensuring that safe and appropriately labeled products would remain available to those who wanted to use them. In the findings associated with this law, Congress stated that there may be a positive relationship between sound dietary practice and good health, and a connection between dietary supplement use, reduced health-care expenses, and disease prevention. Under DSHEA, nutrients and herbs are classified as food. There is no upper limit set, and access is freely given. Americans are allowed to have any nutrients they want, because under English common law, anything that is not expressly forbidden is permitted.

Codex, on the other hand, is based on Napoleonic law under which anything not expressly permitted is forbidden. Therefore, only what is expressly allowed under Codex will be permitted, and everything else is forbidden. In 1994, the same year DSHEA was signed, Codex had nutrients declared to be toxic and poisonous. And as poisons, they claimed people must be protected from them through the use of toxicology and risk assessment, under which scientists test small doses on animals until they are able to discern an impact. They then take the first sign of the most minimal impact and divide this amount by 100 to establish a safety margin required from these poisons. This means that the largest dose of any nutrient allowed under Codex is 1/100th of the amount shown to produce the first discernable impact.

Nutrients allowed under codex are limited to those on the positive list, expected to contain only 18 nutrients, one of them being fluoride. Dr. Laibow points out that although fluoride has no biological benefit whatsoever, it does make people complacent.

The codex proponents now have several bills before Congress designed to overturn and get rid of DSHEA. Once this is accomplished, the U.S. will have been harmonized with the vitamin and mineral guidelines of codex. High potency, therapeutically effective, significant nutrients will then be illegal in the way that heroin is illegal. They will not even be available by prescription.

Codex supports toxic food additives, pesticides and GM foods

Codex poses a significant threat to the food supply, according to Dr. Robert Verkerk, founder and director of the Alliance for Natural Health. About 300 dangerous food additives that are mainly synthetic will be allowed under Codex, including aspartame, BHA, BHT, potassium bromate, tartrazine, and more. Dr. Verkerk is particularly concerned that no consideration has been given to potential risks associated with long-term exposure to mixtures of additives.

Codex sets limits for the dangerous industrial chemicals that can be used in food, but they are incredibly high, and the list of chemicals that can be used is long. In 2001, 176 countries including the U.S. got together and decided that 12 highly toxic organic chemicals, known as persistent organic pollutants (POPS) were so bad that they had to be banned. There are many more than 12 toxic chemicals used on food, but these 12 were unanimously declared to be the worst. Of these, 9 are pesticides.

Under Codex, 7 of the 9 forbidden POPS will again be allowed in the production of food. All together, Codex allows over 3,275 different pesticides, including those that are suspected carcinogens or endocrine disrupters. There is no consideration of the long-term effects of exposure to mixtures of pesticide residues in food.

Organic food governance will be dumbed down to suit the interests of large food producers. Various synthetic chemical additives and processing aids will be allowed, and food labeled as organic may be irradiated. Labeling will permit the use of hidden, non-organic ingredients.

Monsanto, a member of Codex, will benefit greatly as production of genetically modified (GM) foods are stepped up and more GM plants are given the green light. Terminator seeds will be approved for international trade. GM food animals will also be on the way.

Under Codex, every dairy animal can be treated with growth hormone, and all animals in the food chain will be treated with sub-clinical levels of antibiotics, according to Dr. Laibow. She claims that Codex will lead to the required irradiation of all foods with the exception of those grown locally and sold raw.

Dr. Laiblow sees Codex as "food regulations that are in fact the legalization of mandated toxicity and under-nutrition". According to her, the WHO and FAO estimate that of the 3 billion people initially expected to die as the result of the Codex vitamin and mineral guidelines, 2 billion of them will die from the preventable diseases that result from under-nutrition, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and many others. Those who will live will be the wealthy elites who are able to somehow provide themselves with sources of clean food and other nutrients.

Codex is legalized genocide

Dr. Gregory Damato, Ph.D., writing for Natural News, has characterized Codex as "population control for money". He sees Codex as run by the U.S. and controlled by the big pharmaceutical corporations and the likes of Monsanto with the purpose of reducing the population of the world to a level considered sustainable by those promulgating the New World Order. This would mean a reduction of approximately 93 percent of the current world population.

Once Codex standards are adopted there will be no turning back. When Codex compliance is instigated in any area, as long as the country remains a member of the WTO, those standards cannot be repealed, or altered in any way.

Natural Solutions Foundation is working to revamp Codex guidelines worldwide

Some hope remains. Over the years, the WTO has accepted Codex standards as presumptive evidence of the rules of trade between countries. However, several times in history, the WTO has refused to make Codex the single and only standard to be used in trade disputes. Under Codex’s own statutes, their guidelines are claimed to be "advisory", and nations are able to set up their own guidelines.

Since compliance with Codex standards is simply presumptive evidence, and not finally determinative, a nation can opt out of the guidelines in an effort to protect its traditional foods and remedies. The Codex Two Step is a legal strategy that the Natural Solutions Foundation has developed to help nations wanting to do this. Under Step One, the country develops its own food and health guidelines that may be at variance with Codex guidelines. For example, it may be much stricter on the issues of toxins in the food supply or on the issue of genetically modified foods. It may require, for example, that companies using GM ingredients be required to indicate them on food labels. In countries that refuse to use GM foods, this can be indicated on their label too, so that people can make informed choices.

So, the first step is for a country to set up its guidelines. The Second Step is to adopt a national law that implements those guidelines on a sound scientific basis. The NSF is preparing models to be used for doing this that are available to any country. There is a model vitamin and mineral guideline, and a model of a food and health statute to implement that guideline.

Normally, in a trade dispute before the WTO, the country that has adopted Codex guidelines will be the winner of that dispute based on those guidelines being presumptive evidence. However, when countries have gone through the two step process to create their own guidelines, there is no such presumption, and the WTO will look at the science behind the guidelines.

In the U.S. the door is open to Codex

In 1995, the FDA issued a policy statement saying that international standards such as Codex would supersede U.S. laws governing all food. Under the Central American Free Trade Agreement, which is illegal under current U.S. law, but is legal under international law, the U.S. is required to conform to Codex as it stands on December 31, 2009.

This is why NSF needs your help. Because the current pro-Codex stance of the U.S. is in violation of current laws, NSF has created a Citizen’s Petition in which they are asking the U.S. government to amend its Codex position according to the Two Step plan that Codex allows. This petition is a ground-breaking legal approach to compel the government to hold public hearings and move from a pro-illness Codex position to a pro-health position. If the government does not respond in an appropriate manner, the next step in the process is to take them to court.

A Citizen’s Petition is a legal means to focus a government agency’s attention on an issue of concern to citizens. Once a Citizen’s Petition has been entered, a docket to debate it is opened and public comment is accepted. A Citizen’s Petition does have one thing in common with the more familiar types of petitions. Any number of people can add their names to it and become co-petitioners.

So far, over 30,000 people have joined this petition, and three members of Congress have written a Congressional Letter in support of it. Dr. Liabow is encouraging people to pass the word about Codex to everyone they know or with whom they come in contact. As a reader of Natural News, you are in the forefront of knowledge regarding health standards and the need to safeguard them. You are probably someone who others look to for advice on health matters. As such, you are in a special position to help this petition move forward. The new guidelines created by NSF have mandated biochemically individual determination of optimal health. These guidelines need to be adopted by Congress and also by other countries who value their traditional foods and remedies.

Look What Is Happening People

In an 8 week period this summer I have traveled from California to Maryland. I have talked with friends, relatives and new acquaintances. No one I talked to was aware of what was happening in the Nation.

I recently buried my father who was a defender of this nation during the Vietnam War. Many of our mighty warriors are dying with age or war related injuries which are taking their toll on the aged. My father died from a heart attack that was complicated by diabetes which was contracted by "agent orange" contact. Our mighty and strong generation is dying and we are left with mass simpletons in contrast.

There are those who are standing strong and waving the flag of warning. They are voicing concerns over this administration. I encourage Americans to wake up and see what is becoming of this Nation that many have fought and died for.

National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09)

National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09) is scheduled for July 27 through July 31, 2009. NLE 09 will be the first major exercise conducted by the United States government that will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery.

NLE 09 is designated as a Tier I National Level Exercise. Tier I exercises (formerly known as the Top Officials exercise series or TOPOFF) are conducted annually in accordance with the National Exercise Program (NEP), which serves as the nation's overarching exercise program for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating national level exercises. The NEP was established to provide the U.S. government, at all levels, exercise opportunities to prepare for catastrophic crises ranging from terrorism to natural disasters.

NLE 09 is a White House directed, Congressionally- mandated exercise that includes the participation of all appropriate federal department and agency senior officials, their deputies, staff and key operational elements. In addition, broad regional participation of state, tribal, local, and private sector is anticipated. This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09.

EXERCISE FOCUS

NLE 09 will focus on intelligence and information sharing among intelligence and law enforcement communities, and between international, federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector participants.

The NLE 09 scenario will begin in the aftermath of a notional terrorist event outside of the United States, and exercise play will center on preventing subsequent efforts by the terrorists to enter the United States and carry out additional attacks. This scenario enables participating senior officials to focus on issues related to preventing terrorist events domestically and protecting U.S. critical infrastructure.

NLE 09 will allow terrorism prevention efforts to proceed to a logical end (successful or not), with no requirement for response or recovery activities.

NLE 09 will be an operations-based exercise to include: activities taking place at command posts, emergency operation centers, intelligence centers and potential field locations to include federal headquarters facilities in the Washington D.C. area, and in federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector facilities in FEMA Region VI, which includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

EXERCISE OBJECTIVES

Through a comprehensive evaluation process, the exercise will assess prevention and protection capabilities both nationally and regionally. Although NLE 09 is still in the planning stages, the exercise is currently designed to validate the following capabilities:

Exercises such as NLE 09 are an important component of national preparedness, helping to build an integrated federal, state, tribal, local and private sector capability to prevent terrorist attacks, and rapidly and effectively respond to, and recover from, any terrorist attack or major disaster that occurs.

The full-scale exercise offers agencies and jurisdictions a way to test their plans and skills in a real-time, realistic environment and to gain the in-depth knowledge that only experience can provide. Participants will exercise prevention and information sharing functions that are critical to preventing terrorist attacks. Lessons learned from the exercise will provide valuable insights to guide future planning for securing the nation against terrorist attacks, disasters, and other emergencies.

How’s this for apocalyptic literature? This was written
by a pastor's wife in biblical prose as a commentary
of current events. As Yul Brunner proclaimed as Pharoah, "So let it be written, so let it be done!!"

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the
people of the land called America , having lost their

industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!"

more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher
electric rates."

So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate isn't
enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out.
Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!"

Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and
slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security,
free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..."

And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made
him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling
costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid
off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of
business and the economy sank like unto a rock Adropped from a cliff. The banking industry was des-
toyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of
the people were without a means of support.

Then "The One" said, "I am the "The One" - The
Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print
more money so everyone will have enough!"

But our foreign trading partners said unto Him, "Wait
a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung!
You will have to pay more..."

And the people said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!"

And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic
programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become
a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you

"The One" and spat upon him and stoned him, and his
name was dung. And the once mighty nation was
no more; and the once proud people were without

And the people beat their chests in despair and cried
out in anguish, “Give us back our nation and our pride
and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland

The Fight to Save the Constitution

n order to win this fight against the contingent of so-called Americans systematically destroying the Constitution, conservatives must band together. Everyone has a pet issue, but if the individual issues get in the way of a united voice fighting for the U.S. Constitution we are lost. If we uphold the U.S. Constitution as the rule of law, almost all the other problems go away. Plain and simple.

Yes, America faces many, many critical issues which are troubling our nation today, not the least of which is the unrelenting attack on the U.S. Constitution. It is terrifying to hear anyone, let alone the young woman who said: "The constitution is an antiquated document. There is no room for it in America anymore. It is time to stop letting the religious right dictate to us."

How did it come to this? Simply put, we abdicated the responsibility of teaching our children to the public schools. In the 60's and 70's the movement to destroy everything of value swept through the nation. When they were unsuccessful, they turned to higher education and then overwhelmed our schools as teachers and professors, teaching the doctrine they couldn't get people to accept when they were holding love-ins and blowing things up. This very system produced Barack Hussein Obama who is convinced that the Republic of the United States of America is indeed an antiquated and flawed system which must be dismantled as rapidly as possible and communism put in its place.

I weep when I hear this exceedingly flawed and dangerous philosophy spouted by the youth and leaders of today. They screech in strident tones that "it is time for a change"...but the change they seek will destroy an entire nation and they are happily riding that figurative nuclear bomb to its ultimate destination--the end of America. I cannot, nor will I, allow this destruction to continue without raising voice on the side of the truth.

I am a Latter-day Saint. As such, I deeply believe in a living prophet and apostles. I believe that God has not abandoned us, nor will He ever. I believe that this land was divinely establish that the Kingdom of God might roll forth throughout the world.

A book of scripture known as The Doctrine & Covenants states:

Section 101:77-80 -- According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have suffered to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;

That every man may act in doctrine and principle pertaining to futurity, according to the moral agency which I have given unto him, that every man may be accountable for his own sins in the day of judgment.

79 Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another.

80 And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood.

I testify that America is a choice land of freedom and our Constitution was divinely established as a beacon of freedom to all of God's children. It is our privilege, even our divine responsibility, to protect the Constitution as the rule of law. It is very far from the antiquated document this foolish young woman called it and very much a document which holds eternal truths of freedom, justice and responsibility.

One of our founding fathers, John Adams, said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." This is true for politicians and citizens alike. If we eschew the morals and values that made this nation great, we are completely lost. The U.S. Constitution MUST be defended and upheld as the rule of law for the United States of America.

Each of our elected officials takes an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. I submit to you that all but a handful of the politicians in Washington, D.C. have not only failed in that oath, but have attacked the Constitution with malice aforethought and thus have unilaterally committed treason with open eyes and sure intent. We cannot allow this to go unchecked. Each must be removed from office and brought to justice. The first is within our grasp with the elections in 2010, the second more difficult as it requires politicians with spines and a firm understanding of the Constitution to actually pursue those charges of treason.

It has come to this: We can no longer cling to a single pet issue. We can no longer bicker and fight amongst ourselves, while "Rome" is burning down around our ears. America is under attack. Yes, we are at war with those Jihadists across the world who have lost their collective minds. Yes, we are not popular with ... well, everybody, Obama's Apology Tour notwithstanding. But ... and I must stress this as strongly as I possibly can ... the greater enemy is within the borders of the United States, walking the halls of Congress and the White House.

I invite each of you who loves this nation and understands how powerful and critical the U.S. Constitution is to stand now and be counted. There are so many things you can do. You are not helpless nor are you unimportant to the cause of restoring the Republic of the United States of America.

You can:

* Call, email or fax your congressmen and senators on issues important to you. And I promise, there is new legislation or a new executive order which robs us of more liberty almost every single day.

* Study the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, as well as the lives and times of the founding fathers so that you further understand why they chose a republic over a pure democracy or a theocracy.

Thank you Michael! And may I say "Amen" to the citizens who took their county back. I would not like to take up arms against fellow Americans. I love the idea of the all GI ballot though. Maybe something in the future to think about as we start our recommendations for the 2010 elections?

Battle of Athens, Tennessee, 1946! GI's take up arms against corruption!

Wondering how many here have heard of this story. I am sure it was not taught in schools.
GI's coming home from WWII took up arms against a corrupt political machine in Athens Tennessee. Here are some excerpts from the story and I am providing two links. American Heritage and Guns and Ammo.
Excerpts: "On August 1-2, 1946, some Americans, brutalized by their county government, used armed force as a last resort to overturn it. These Americans wanted honest open elections. For years they had asked for state or federal election monitors to prevent vote fraud (forged ballots, secret ballot counts, and intimidation by armed sheriff's deputies) by the local political boss. They got no help."
" These Americans' absolute refusal to knuckle under had been hardened by service in World War II. Having fought to free other countries from murderous regimes, they rejected vicious abuse by their county government."
At the end of 1945, some 3,000 battle-hardened veterans returned to McMinn County; the GIs held Cantrell politically responsible for Mansfield's doings. Early in 1946, some newly returned ex-GIs decided to challenge Cantrell politically by offering an all-ex-GI, non-partisan ticket. They promised a fraud-free election, stating in ads and speeches that there would be an honest ballot count and reform of county government."
" At a rally, a GI speaker said, "The principles that we fought for in this past war do not exist in McMinn County. We fought for democracy because we believe in democracy, but not the form we live under in this county" (Daily Post-Athenian, 17 June 1946, p.1 ). At the end of July 1946, 159 McMinn County GIs petitioned the FBI to send election monitors. There was no response. The Department of Justice had not responded to McMinn County residents' complaints of election fraud in 1940, 1942 and 1944."
Otto Kennedy, not an ex-GI himself but a political adviser to the veterans, entered the office and announced that Cantrell had posted armed guards at each precinct. They all knew that this move was in preparation for the 4:00 P.M. poll closings when the ballot boxes would be moved to the jail for counting. A small group of the veterans demanded an armed mobilization and called for a leader. Buttram declined. So did Kennedy, but he offered the rear of his Essankay Garage and Tire Shop across the street as a meeting hall."

"The group crossed the street, held a meeting, and agreed that those who did not have weapons should get them and return as quickly as possible."

America will Survive

July 4th is suppose to be the date of the million man march. Additional tea Parties and marches will ring out across this land. Freedom will still ring in the hearts of true Americans across this land no matter what the current administration does.

Some bad analogy coming, but the heart of America is not in an individual's head, but in their heart, their soul, even in the blood which courses through the veins. I have said for years that my blood is red, white and blue. If you think about it, it is literal. Blue veins and red and white cells, but the analogy runs far deeper than a few quarts of blood.

The very fiber of our "being Americans" cannot be separated from our bodies. It is the Spirit of Americans that escapes the solid substance of body and permeates the very air we breathe. It cannot be contained, nor should it be. For that reason alone, America will survive.

A government administration cannot wipe out all that is good within the heart and soul of America. Even if a bare thread were to survive, which it will, then the fight continues and the thread will gather those together to once again make a strong cord.

Do not give up or give in. We are they who will keep America breathing.

I Am A Constitutionalist

I have been challenged to know what a Constitutionalist means. The following is what I found. I can't find one point I disagree with. I am not sure what was expected of me in this challenge. It sounded negative in it's challenge, but I could not disagree with any of these principles.

I was also asked to check into Federalism, which follows the seven principles of the Constitution Party. I couldn't find fault there wither. My research however has just begun, so I am open to all comments.

Seven Principles of the Constitution Party are:

1. Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
4. Property: Each individual's right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
6. States' Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government, nor prohibited by the Constitution to the states, is reserved to the states or to the people;

This is a comment I found on the 912 Military site. It was written by "Andrew" who gives an excellent opinion on Socialism. It is to the point and intelligent. I encourage all of you to read this detailed comment.

Socialism

Some would tell you that socialism is promoted in the Bible; I would argue that it is not. There is a vast difference between Socialism and charity. Those that can giving to those that need is far different than a group of self appointed academics taking from those that have worked hard for what they have and then giving it to those that choose to do nothing and look for handouts.

As a freshman in college I thought communism was a fairly decent idea, but the more I studied it the more realized how much it demoralized a society. Most idealists and academics who truly believe that socialism and communism are good forms of government look at history and think to themselves they would do a better job of running a socialist government than the Chinese or Soviets did. The academics who espouse these virtues have never really worked in the real world. They sit in their universities making $200,000 a year telling Americas youth about the evils of Capitalism. What bothers this writer is how someone living in a free capitalist society, will espouse the virtues of socialist societies that they have never really experienced first hand. In all honesty these academics may have been to socialist nations, but only for short visits, and then they never really saw how the subjects lived. Anyone visiting a country like China, North Korea or Cuba is given a tour of the best parts of that society; they never get to see it from the perspective of an average Chinese, North Korean or Cuban.

Discounting the unlimited power a government has over the people in a socialist society, and focusing on the economic problems all socialist and communist nation’s experience, it should be obvious to anyone how adverse this type of government is for the well being of a nation. In the name of making things “fair” for everyone, socialists are reducing the quality of life for their subjects. This writer is not rich, but I know that it is the rich owners of companies who have taken major risks (and deserve their rewards) that have produced most of America’s wealth. Those same owners have employed millions of Americans, giving those citizens good lifestyles and opportunities to succeed. Socialist countries suck the marrow out of these owners and their companies.

In the eighties China looked at the western world and realized they were far behind financially. They saw how much more successful Hong Kong and Taiwan was as capitalist countries. The Chinese loosened restrictions on private enterprise in the larger cities and their wealth has increased exponentially. This writer visited China and was surprised of the growth and freedoms in the larger cities. China is using capitalism to expand its wealth while the government remains communist. At some point the government will have to change or the government will have to pull in the reigns.

The United States headlong charge into socialism is being lead by those academics that have never experienced life under a socialist regime, and it is being cheered on by lazy and disgruntled Americans who are trying to get their piece of the pie handed to them without actually putting in any effort. As the nation becomes more controlled by socialists and “fairness” becomes the norm, we will see our quality of life drastically reduce. Ownership in business will not be a status symbol but rather a stigma. Intelligent, capable pragmatic people will not take on the risks of starting a business, but rather find a way to work up the latter in a government agency. The middle class will slowly disappear and we will become a nation of haves and have-nots. The haves will be the chosen whom the “leaders” post into positions according to their political beliefs and their connections, not to their abilities. We have already witnessed the failures of some of the appointees of the present administration. Things are defiantly going to get worse before they get better for the U.S.

People who believe in self reliance, capitalism and freedom (those on the right) have fallen asleep at the wheel. We were all so comfortable with the status quo that we did not see this coming. We let teachers and professors tell our kids how bad America was and how we were arrogant capitalists. That we walked on the backs of the rest of the world. While in reality the U.S. was giving more overall aid than the EU and other industrialized nations combined. Americans in general are more charitable than citizens of other nations. What we receive in return is not thanks but derision. Poorer nations that we give aid to do not thank us, they complain about the restrictions we place on that aid. Nations like France and Spain snub us, China just waiting for the best time to hit us with a Treasury bill sell off that will destroy our economy. All the while, we are throwing aside the virtues and economic systems that made our country strong. Lenin said “
Give me four years to teach the children, and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted” Well, once we watched the Soviet Union crumble under its own weight we let our guard down and American socialists started their climb in academia and government. Lenin’s “seed” grew and now has very deep roots in the U.S. and around the world. Pearl Buck, an American writer once said “Destroy the seed of evil, or it will grow up to your ruin.” This is precisely what is happening in America today. We did not fully discredit socialism and communism, so as it now rears its ugly head in America, we are at a loss for what to do. Those of us on the right knew back in the early 1990’s that the unjust system would never succeed, but those on the left thought that if they had the chance they could make it work. The question’s now are, how do we stop this, and how do we make sure it never happens again?

Issues at T.E.A. Parties Were Not Race Based

Okay here we are a few days after the April 15th Tea Parties. It seems that some reporting news companies thought all the tea parties were about resistance to tax hikes only. (http://www.resistnet.com/) Chicago's CNN reporter seemed to have a hard time comprehending this particular fact

The T.E.A. parties encompassed a variety of subjects that Americans are in an uproar about.

- The Stimulus Package and it's attached debt load and tax increase

- The threat of taking away Americans right to bear arms

- The right of free speech, in that Americans can be put on a list if they disagree with current policies

- America's Veterans being watched "just in case" some one wants to solicit them to their cause

- The threat to those who store food as a protection against times of unemployment

- The threat to those who are against abortions

- The threat of religious freedom.

So many factors were involved in these tea parties that the list could continue on. Yes T.E.A. stands for Taxed Enough Already, and for those individuals concerned about the economic malfunctions of this nation, it was a real T.E.A. party. Who could blame them when Michelle is wearing a sweater that would be an average Americans monthly wage?

Obama's list of possible radicals released the night before these national protests seemed to be an attempt to discourage supporters from attending. I personally interpreted it as a threat against my citizenship. I believe and feel that this administration should definitely handle things differently.

Most people I have talked to across the net and at the rally have stated these same things to me. Not once was the issue of race mentioned. Who cares if the President is Black or white, Christian or Jew, Old or Young? The care and concern lies solely with the work that is done behind the walls of the white house.

It is the administrations lack or unwillingness to listen to the American people that has people up in arms. I feel that we have a run away train in Washington. We still don't know that Obama is our President because everyone has slid past the birth certificate issue. I think that should be solved before anything is implemented.

The Constitution guarantees our right to State sovereignty and now Obama calls us Radicals for claiming that right. I am not a terrorist. I am not a Radical. I am an American Constitutionalist who wants the Constitution upheld and not trampled on or rewritten. Is that really too much to ask for?

Does Barak Obama Actually Exist?

Now that you have the foundation of this blog, let me say that if Barak Obama does not show a birth certificate, he does not exist. He is as fictitious as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. He is not a President of the United States.

Many People want to put this issue at rest and yet this one issue is part of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution which America itself is based upon. Obama is day by day stripping away the rights of the people and walking upon the Constitution as if it was his personal piece of toilet paper. I cannot stand what is happening.

Where is the revolution we need to take back our rights and freedoms? Where are the people shouting in the streets that our fictitious Commander in Chief is not the leader of this nation? Are we as a people going to stand in front of our state capitals and city buildings to voice our protests on the 15th of April? Does America even have it in her any more to stand up and be heard?

Evil will prevail if the righteous do nothing at all. I can pen my thoughts, send out warnings and stay tuned to current events, but all of it is to no avail if we as a people do not take action.

My soul is sickened each and every day by the things I read and hear. The Gitmo prisoners are going to be given finances from the American People. An education from the American People. The ability to recruit follows from the American people. All of this is being done under the guise of leadership from Obama. Enough is enough. I cannot nor will I ever support a man who willingly walks on the Constitution of these United States.

I write these things knowing that such material could be monitored and a list of rebels could be made of those who oppose the Obama administration, but I will continue to write and continue to object as long as I have breath to breathe. I will stand my ground and not make apologies for it. Things are wrong in Washington and Obama is the number factor of it.

62 million people voted against Obama in the election. Where are they now? Are we sitting back and saying "Oh well it is done therefore there is nothing left to do?" Do we have the mentality that "all Is Well" in Washington? 62 million people need to be heard in Washington with the voice of a screaming, outraged eagle.

Inundate our Senators, our Congressmen, and the White House with our cries of rejection and horror. Raise our individual "Tile of Liberty" throughout the nation. Do whatever it takes to let people know we are not happy with what we see. Send your blogs to these people, let them know what we really believe in this current situation.

Obama's Handicap

Obama's comment about the Special Olympics participants on the Jay Leno show has received wide spread notoriety. More than what may be warranted. Glenn Beck said, in essence, that as a father of a disabled child he got over it.

Well I too am a mother of a disabled child. I too take no offense, but for no other reason than I think Obama himself should be in the Political Special Olympics. His handicap for finesse and eloquence is apparent. A gutter ball statement from him is now expected.

Set that aside, people are saying that Obama needs to be "politically" correct in this matter. Being politically correct is exactly for political situations...like Hillary Clinton with Russia's "over-charged" button.

Let's be real people and not give Obama more press coverage. His ego is being filled by his power and position. Being on the Jay Leno show and acting as if he is the greatest gift to the world, should be sufficient time spent on a man who can't even prove he was born.

I am beginning to think he was spawned by the devil. Why has America not pursued this more aggressively? He is not my President and wont be acknowledged as such, even remotely, until this issue is resolved. Ahhh, but that is another blog to right.

The 10th amendment says: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
The Tenth Amendment sets forth one of our most cherished rights, and for good reasons. When states and local communities take the lead on policy, the people are that much closer to the policymakers, and policymakers are that much more accountable to the people. Few Americans have spoken with their president; many have spoken with their mayor.
Empowering state and local government leaders to solve their own problems often leads to better policies. These leaders are closer to those affected by decisions, and more likely to understand the nuances of their community's particular challenges. Solutions that work well in Boston may be completely inappropriate in Boise.
The greatest virtue of the Tenth Amendment is that it embodies the wisdom of checks and balances. We tend to think of checks and balances in the context of our national executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Yet the tension between federal, state, and local governments is just as important.

The state of education in our country also demonstrates the Tenth Amendment's strengths and weaknesses. Nothing embodies the idea of equality of opportunity more than education. The Tenth Amendment ensures that education is funded primarily at the state and local levels, yet the federal government has intruded in the field of education...a function never given it by the Constitution.

A nationally controlled education system would be a disaster. Not only would it likely lead to an expansive bureaucracy and stifling regulations, but it would also deny us much of the wisdom, innovation, and accountability that often comes from local communities.

The federal government exercises enumerated power, most notably that in Article I, Section 8. The states, by contrast, exercise residual and unenumerated power, fundamentally the basic police power to protect the health, welfare, safety, and morals of the people. And it is the people of each state, as the beneficiaries of the Tenth Amendment's final phrase, who decide in what measure and manner the reserved powers of their state shall be exercised.

The importance of the Tenth Amendment ebbs and flows. The willingness of the Court to breathe life into its words may depend on the public esteem in which state government is held.

During the Rehnquist Court, the Tenth Amendment experienced something of a revival. In Printz v. United States, the Court invoked the Tenth Amendment to prohibit Congress from commandeering state personnel in the execution of a federal gun control program. Congress appears to have broad latitude in imposing costs incidental to the implementation of federal directives, so long as it does not cross the line and actually tell state officials what to do.

The Supreme Court itself has moved to restrict the foremost concern of the Tenth Amendment — the preservation of the state police power. Yet the Tenth Amendment serves vital constitutional values. It protects, above all, the possibility of diverse state approaches to the nation's most volatile social problems. And in so doing, it respects regional differences as well. It allows change in America to assume a gradual, evolutionary, and democratic course — one quite different from change achieved through the convulsive stroke of the constitutional pen. It was not intended by the framers to dominate our constitutional landscape. But neither was it placed in our founding document to be forgotten."

The powers delegated to the Federal Government by the states and the people under the U.S. Constitution, for the most part, are as follows:
1. To collect taxes on imports and excise taxes on commodities of home production (Not on wages, salaries, or capital gains.) 2. To regulate commerce with foreign nations and among the several states and with the Indian tribes. 3. To establish a uniform rule of naturalization. 4. To coin money. 5. To establish Post Offices. 6. To grant copyrights and patents. 7. To constitute Federal Courts as needed (inferior to the Supreme Court.) 8. To declare war.

On November 22, 1994, thirty Republican Governors adopted the Williamsburg Resolve, which, in essence, said, “Federal action (the Federal Government) has exceeded the clear bounds of its jurisdiction (authority) under the Constitution and thus violated the Rights guaranteed to the People.” The United States Supreme Court has abandoned its constitutional role by allowing the Federal Government to unconstitutionally extend its rules and regulations into virtually every area of public and private life, clearly in violation of the Tenth Amendment.

State Senator Charles Duke (CO) initiated the Tenth Amendment Resolution Campaign, which was to get as many state legislatures as possible to adopt a resolution informing the President, the Vice President, and the key leaders in Congress that their state is claiming sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment and demanding that the Federal Government immediately end any mandates that are beyond the powers given to it by the Federal Constitution.

In 1994, the following states joined Colorado in passing a Tenth Amendment Resolution: California, Missouri, Hawaii and Illinois. Oklahoma passed the resolution in one house, and Resolutions were introduced in Ohio, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Seven other states; Utah, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, New Mexico, Nevada, and Wyoming planned to introduce the Resolution when their Legislature next convened.

Unfortunately, the Tenth Amendment Resolution campaign has been in limbo until recently when Representative Charles Key (OK) reintroduced the Resolution in the lower house in Oklahoma and successfully got it passed again in that house by a lopsided vote of 92-3.

Ever wonder why the Constitution is only taught as part of a government course in High School and not a full semester class? My opinion is that if you don't know what your rights are, you can't argue against them. The governments wants to be a mysterious red tape business for the average American. They want you to feel lost and insecure so that their control over you is firmer. It is Knowledge and Wisdom that frees us from the grasp of passive slavery.

Now a movement toward revitalizing the Tenth Amendment Resolution campaign has risen to get more states to pass the Resolution, with the understanding that the powers referred to in the Tenth Amendment are clearly based on powers set forth and defined in our Declaration of Independence and Preamble to the Constitution. We introduce the “Constitutional Ensign to the Nation” as a working instrument that graphically illustrates the principles that guided our Founding Fathers when they wrote our Constitution.

To provide some strength of enforcement to the Tenth Amendment Resolution, hopefully, some of the states that pass the Resolution will have an Attorney General who still remembers their oath of office and will have the courage to file a legal action against the Federal Government for their unlawful and unconstitutional violation of states’ rights.

Expedition of Laws

Today I actually felt horror touch my soul. The things that are being passed by our government into law is chilling. I see communism everywhere. I watch as people go about their business with seemingly blissful ignorance. The average American does not know what in the world is going on. Obama is trying to get passed a mandatory youth military for "homeland security" reasons. This is what Hitler did when he began his reign of horror. This law if passed would mandate military service like Spain did. The people would be brainwashed with foolish ideologies of supremacy. The older generation who lived through the holocaust and in concentration camps are shaking with fright as they see history repeat itself in a nation that represents safety from the evils of the world. It is no longer "out there". It is here and settled in our government. This proposed military would be the eyes and ears of the government. We would have to watch what we said like the Russians did. For the first time in my life I had a brief thought of moving to another country. This country and it's constitution is too great to abandon.

I received "hate mail" prior to the elections when I quoted a holocaust survivor's article of history repeating itself and looking like Hitler in the form of Obama. Many people do not like the inference, but here we are only one quarter into the new administration and it is all being laid out for the nation to see.

Legislation and laws are being enacted so quickly that the American people are unable to keep up with it all. Watch groups crying out against the governments bombardment (NRA, Grass Roots, MRC, etc) are barely keeping up with it all. The American people are relying on their watch cries to keep them abreast of what is going on.

The amazement and wonderment of the expedition of these things is causing me to reflect upon the matter more fully. Many of these measures had to have been formatted and typed up prior to the inauguration. Some I believe are formatted after communistic regimes. Yes I know that there are people paid to write these things up and they are familiar with the language required for these things, but a budget report with over 8,000 earmarks, does not get typed up over night.

This is the process we were taught as children. It takes time to get these things through and look at what Obama has done! Maybe we need to look into his research and reference books to see where they are coming from.

March 23rd, 2009, Fairfax, VA—Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson today sharpened his call for President Barack Obama and members of Congress to return campaign contributions received from the bailout-recipient firm American International Group, Inc. (AIG).

“There is no question that President Obama must return the $104,332 he received from AIG during the 2008 election cycle,” declared Wilson. “And so must the members of Congress who took massive campaign contributions from cocktail-circuit cronies at the very institutions they were supposed to be overseeing. The American people are outraged—and rightly so.”

According to a Rasmussen Reports poll released today, 67 percent of Americans believe that politicians who received campaign contributions from AIG should return the money.

“The American people were already hopping mad about the bailouts for failed companies like AIG. And now, when they learn that company bigwigs donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to politicians in 2008, their anger is also rightly directed at the political elite,” Wilson added.

Last week, Wilson sent a letter urging President Barack Obama and members of Congress to “return the $4.37 million they received in campaign contributions from AIG since 1989, including the $644,218 they received in 2008.”

According to OpenSecrets.org, AIG gave some $644,218 to candidates for federal office in 2008. According to Wilson's letter, “[I]n return, it received from the Federal Reserve some $173 billion in taxpayer-guaranteed loans. That represents nearly a 27 million percent return on their 2008 'investment' into politicians' loyalty.”

“Any politician that has ever taken even a single penny, not just from AIG, but from all bailout-recipient firms, should return the money immediately,” Wilson insisted. “The politicians got campaign bonuses to turn their back on financial malfeasance.”

“And they should return those bonuses just like they are demanding their corporate cronies do,” Wilson added.

President Obama received $104,332 from AIG in 2008, which is the bulk of the $110,332 in contributions he has ever received from the company.

Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) in 2008 received $103,900 of the $281,038 he has ever received from AIG. In the 2009 $787 billion spending bill recently passed by Congress, Dodd inserted the amendment that guaranteed that bonuses would be paid by adding language to a spending cap that specifically excluded executive bonuses included in contracts.

“Of the 314 members of the Congressional majority who voted to protect the AIG bonuses, a large number of them have taken money from AIG,” Wilson noted. “They took payoffs, short and simple. And now that they've been caught, it's time for them to return their ill-gotten gains.”

At the time of the legislation's passage, Congressional Republicans opposed the speed with which the bill went through Congress, citing that members did not have an adequate amount of time to read it.

“We knew the so-called 'stimulus' was just a grab-bag of special interest handouts and kickbacks. And it is clear that campaign contributions from AIG and other bailout firms are just another example of pay-to-play corruption that is endemic in Washington,” said Wilson.

“And it is poisoning our system of government,” Wilson concluded.

While Congress was distracting everyone with phony outrage over AIG, they were able to slip under the radar a bill designed to establish mandatory civilian labor.

This is doubtless the beginning of Obama’s fascist, “national civilian security force” he spoke of during the campaign. The title of the bill is H.R. 1388, the “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act,” also known as the GIVE Act.

It has already cleared the House and is headed to the Senate, where, as it happens, they are working on a similar, additional, bill that is being called the “Serve America” Act. Shockingly, 70 Republicans voted for the House bill, proving once again that most elected Republicans are tools and losers who will do whatever the Democrats want unless they are pressured otherwise.

Not amazingly, the Senate's Serve America Act is being sponsored by Ted Kennedy with RINO and useful idiot, Orrin Hatch in tow as a cosponsor.

Both of these bills MUST BE STOPPED! It’s hard to overstate how important this is.

Apples and Oranges?

All we hear about lately is the budget and some people think enough is enough, let's move on to other things, but I have yet to voice my opinion.

I am out right flabbergasted over the budget that has been proposed and then approved. All of the "earmarks" have yet to be disclosed to the American people. The more I hear about these things the more I roll my eyes.

You see I am an average American who has their own budget and has to live within those limits. It's nice to study bees, but not at the cost of having food on the table. It's also nice to be able to borrow money from friends and family when needed but not at the cost of bankruptcy.

Every penny should be accounted for. Every penny should be spent within/for the United States (household). Every penny should be spent on necessities and not wants. Every penny should be talked about amongst the leaders (adults of the household). Nothing should be slipped in the budget without the other knowing about it.

Necessities are the basics: food, clothing and shelter. Wants are everything else: phone, cable, cars, make-up, meals out, etc. As the National Financial Advisor I would keep these things in clear perspective.

I would also cut the fat out of budget immediately. Let's talk about the billions of dollars that go to care for illegal immigrants.

Illegals apply for food stamps. They would need to provide a green card. No green card, go back to where you come from.

Illegals apply for medical. They need to provide a green card. No card, go back to where you came from.

Illegals apply for work. Show your green card. No card, no job. Go back to where they came from.

Illegals break the law, they face the judge. No green card, no American rights. Immediate sentencing, jail time and then send them back to where they came from.

By handling and maintaining illegals correctly billions of dollars would come back into the governmental budget. Americans would have more jobs too. After all I would never feed the neighbors and take care of them without taking care of my own first. I would not ignore those who are my responsibilty.

Of course Americans need to remember that even working at McDonalds helps to put food on the table. I like the movie "Pursuit of Happyness". It shows how we should be as citizens. We should do all in our power to achieve success. Shelters and handouts are for those truly going through a hard time, not for those who wont work.

Food Stamps? I know a lot of Americans use them and survive on them. How many of these citizens grow gardens? How many know how to preserve the food they grow? How many people prepare for a rainy day? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a perfect program of working for what you receive. Many of these members who need help surviving in today's economy, work for what they get. Stake Farms need able hands, Churches need to be cleaned, talents used for the benefit of others.

The SHARE program in Norfolk, Virginia requires people to contribute their time and effort on a voluntary level in their community in order to receive food. Babysitting for free. Serving in a Soup Kitchen. Making booties for newborns. Driving the elderly to the market or the doctors. Work for what is received. What a lot could be accomplished if the Food Stamp Program worked that way. Museums, libraries, parks, could all be maintained and beautified with a communities working hands and not the government's money or more aptly put, the taxpayers money.

I would put the responsibility of the providing for a family back on the shoulders of the American people. You might have to eat a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, hot dogs, pancakes, or oatmeal, but that would only make the steaks taste sweeter.

Are we as citizens willing to sacrifice what it takes in order to not get further in debt within our homes? Are we willing to stand up to a governmental administration and tell them "No" when it comes to spending out the wahzoo? The government is like a giant household for the nation. Financially it should be run like a regular household. It is not an apples and oranges situation. It is an apple and apple situation.

Romney for President in 2012

Why would Mitt Romney be "the" man to vote for in 2012? I believe he will be the only one who has enough commitment, experience and brains to get us out of the debt that Obama has already gotten us into. Mitt Romney did wonders for the Massachusetts budget, and bailed Utah out of a Olympic financial disaster. These two incidents alone look great on his resume.

Mitt Romney also can change his opinions when he has discovered he is wrong. During the '08 Presidential campaign, Romney changed his stance on abortion. Many in the media, and from opposite political parties, tried to resurrect Bush's "flip-flop" slogan against John Kerry on Mitt Romney. Mitt's answer to this attempted slur campaign is what won me over to his side. His comment? (paraphrased) Aren't we suppose to change our stance on things when we learn that our stance was wrong in the first place?" Wow! A man who admits that he was wrong and then takes responsibility for it. He sounds kind of...well honest. Wouldn't that be a refreshing change for a President?

Mitt Romney is also a man of God. As a Mormon (a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)in good standing, Mr. Romney has to answer some great questions about his integrity in order to participate in some of the most sacred ordinances in the LDS Church. Questions like...(paraphrased) "Have you been honest in ALL of your dealings with your fellow man?" (taxes, business, lies, everyday actions, etc) "Is there anything in your conduct regarding your family that is not in harmony with the teachings of the Church?" (abuse, neglect,demeaning, demoralizing etc). Wouldn't you like to know he still has to answer those questions appropriately after he's President?

Mitt's lineage is noteworthy also. He is descended from great men. Men who have declared to the world the testimony of God,and His Son Jesus Christ. Men who have been taught from their youth that this land is a sacred and promised land. Men who understand what is worth fighting for and know when to fight for it. Romney has been taught these things from his infancy. He knows that it takes hard work and responsibility to make it through life, not a hand out.

Mitt Romney also knows that to be a good leader you don't need to keep making laws to appease the people. You need to enforce the ones that have already been established. Consequences need to be applied immediately to offenders; ie illegal immigrants. The laws are already there, just enforce them.

The greatest reason I have found to vote for Mitt Romney is because he loves America. He is a patriot willing to do all in his power to protect this great nation and it's people. Glenn Beck is my voice

I have become addicted to Glenn Beck ever since he moved to Fox. I use to watch him occasionally before, but now my DVR is set so I don't miss an episode.

Glenn speaks the words of my heart and the thoughts of my mind. He is defending the Constitution of the United States openly. He is gathering like minded people together so they don't feel alone. He aired a you tube video about what ">Thomas Paine would say if he were here today.

Glenn's 912 project (the912project.com)is gaining momentum all over the nation. Almost 200,000 people have become a member in just a little over a week. This is enabling America to be united again. From supporting "tea bag" parties to 912 parties across the nation, Glenn is a voice that America can trust.

When Obama is compared to the ">Holy Messiah
as a spoof, I worry because some where in the future some one will believe even this irreverent analysis. Obama brings shame to the true Messiah.

Glenn Beck's show however has frequently hosted ">Joel Rosenberg as a remedy for distorted truth. Obama hype or Joel Rosenberg? No brainer there.

What a clear precise balance of the news. With Glenn Beck on the we, as Americans, will not be brainwashed by the media's ill perceived view of events. Every episode shows the less important issues that the media covers that day, then Glenn cuts to the chase and talks about real issues that need to be addressed.

Thank you Glenn for being an American hero. Thank you for hosting American heroes on your show. Thank you for speaking my thoughts.

New Fairness Doctrine is not fair.

I don't know about you guys out there, but I want to know the truth not what the government wants us to believe as truth. Shows like Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Hannity and others are in danger of being censored.

This could also lead to retribution for teaching church doctrines over a pulpit which the government would deem antagonistic and racist. Things like marriage being between a man and a woman only. Blogs could be monitored and shut down. The government wants control of what is going on in the whole realm of communication.

This is a socialistic/communistic move. Look at Russian history. Take a look at Chine today. Do you want propaganda or truth?

The Left is launching a new and more deceptive strategy to implement the so-called “Fairness” Doctrine -- under different names and without a vote in Congress. But their goal remains the same – the silencing of conservative and Christian talk radio.

This stealth tactic was exposed in the last few weeks as grassroots opposition from friends like you threw a wrench in their plans to openly impose the so-called “Fairness” Doctrine. Now, Obama’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is preparing to use regulatory terms like “diversity,” “localism” and serving the Left’s definition of the “public interest” as new, backdoor “Fairness” Doctrines to indirectly impose this radio censorship.

How “diversity,” “localism” and serving the Left’s definition of the “public interest” will lead to censorship

Obama’s acting FCC Chairman, Michael Copps, says he believes the government has a role in enforcing media “diversity” -- including the re-examination of station licensing and making popular conservative and Christian radio programming somehow “more reflective” of “public interest!”

Copps added that given the new political climate, “we have a tremendous opportunity going forward to reinvigorate our media, to ensure that the public airwaves truly deliver the kind of news and information that we need to sustain our democratic dialouge and to reflect the great diversity of our country.”

In other words, liberals are tired of losing the battle of the airwaves, so their plan is to silence conservative and Christian talk in the name of “diversity,” “localsim” and service of their definition of the “public interest.” No Congressional vote is necessary. Obama’s FCC can impose any of these new “Fairness” Doctrines by simply enforcing their Leftist interpretations of already existing regulatory powers .

We Must Be Ready…

With this new liberal strategy now exposed, we must work to further strengthen our effort. The next key flashpoint in this debate over these new “Fairness” Doctrines is the pending confirmation hearings for Julius Genachowski as Obama’s FCC Chairman. That’s why I have decided to hold back on our petition delivery until the Genachowski confirmation hearings are convened.

We want – we need -- your voices to be heard when it matters most.

These hearings have not yet been scheduled, but we expect an announcement soon. Until then, I want the entire MRC Action Team focused on rallying critically needed extra support for our petition -- for delivery at the time of the hearings so as to ensure maximum impact.

Tired of Being Tired?

This is absolutely right on the money and I echo Mr. Hall's sentiments, although I am only 45. On his blog, The Old Jarhead, Mr. Hall wrote a fantastic summation of how I, and most other responsible Americans, are feeling today in response to Obama's new America. So I must share:

Robert A. Hall, MEd, CAE, has been an association executive since 1982. He was elected to the Massachusetts State Senate in 1972, defeating a Democrat incumbent by 9 votes out of 60,000. He was reelected 4 times by large margins, and was nominated by both parties in 1976, retiring undefeated 1982. I'm Tired by Robert A. Hall

I'll be 63 soon. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce, and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth around" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy or stupid to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the leftwing Congresscritters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them-with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by leftwing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the religious freedom and women's rights of Saudi Arabia, the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Gay people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela. Won't multiculturalism be beautiful?

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor;" of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers;" of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery;" of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I believe "a man should be judged by the content of his character, not by the color of his skin." I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of President Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of US Senators from Illinois. I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the emancipation proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less in an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful. That thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress, that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his, that slammed Palin with two years as governor for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever.

Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military. Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people then themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years-and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers-bums are bi-partisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bi-partisanship. I live in Illinois, where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats and Republicans has worked together harmoniously to loot the public for years. And I notice that the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet are bi-partisan as well.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination, or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to get to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

A Narcissist for President

I don't need to post my own thoughts when others say it so perfectly. I say "Amen" to these words and start my own campaign to not re-elect Obama in 2012. This article supports my views posted in "Wake Up America!"

Is anyone following this and understanding the implications that were well spelled out before the election? Has the bubble burst yet on your expectations of the government and particularly Obama?

His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such quasi "religious" impact on so many people. The fact that Obama is a total incognito with zero accomplishment, makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects."

Barack Obama is a narcissist.

Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the Malignant Self Love believes "Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist." Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism. He understands narcissism and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama's language, posture and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, dearest and nearest suggest that the Senator is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of themselves. Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of People's Temple, the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist. David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin, Saddam, Mao, Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirers, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to their doom. When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don't know it until it is too late. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse.

"Obama's early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations," says Vaknin. "Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia, a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995".

One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around himself and reduces others in his own inverted image. He creates a cult of personality. His admirers become his co-dependents. Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal objective. They are focused on one thing alone and that is power. All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help them is beneath them and do not deserve their attention.

If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way or another, he has no interest in it. The "present" vote is a safe vote. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Those issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not about him. Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review led to a contract and advance to write a book about race relations.

The University of Chicago Law School provided [for] him a lot longer than expected and at the end it evolved into, guess what? His own autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book Dreams from My Father.

Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own autobiography [Mein Kampf] when he was still a nobody. So did Stalin. For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why would he waste his precious time and genius writing about insignificant things when he can write about such an august being as himself? Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama's lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month.

A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who has raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power.

A narcissist cares for no one but himself. This election is like no other in the history of America. The issues are insignificant compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft of conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the free world? I hate to sound alarmist, but one is a fool if one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no threat to others...They are simply self serving and selfish.

Obama evidences symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon or a Bill Clinton for example. To him reality and fantasy are intertwined. This is a mental health issue, not just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent. It is this disguise that makes them treacherous.

Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But this man could put an end to their party. The great majority of blacks have also decided to vote for Obama. Only a fool does not know that their support for him is racially driven. This is racism, pure and simple. The downside of this is that if Obama turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment among the whites.

The blacks are unlikely to give up their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and blame Obama's detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash among the whites.

The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions will increase to levels never seen since the turbulent 1960's.

Obama will set the clock back decades... America is the bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of America, and its weakness translates into the triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations.

It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Castrists, the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo terrorists and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so thrilled by the prospect of their man in the White House. America is on the verge of destruction. There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as president.

Rush Limbaugh is being lambasted, his words twisted, in an effort to discredit him for saying he hoped "the president would fail." He actually said that if the president supported tax cuts he'd support him. But our president supports socialism, well actually communism, and as such Rush Limbaugh won 't support him. And yes, he hopes he fails in converting America to pure socialism. Nothing wrong with that.

Let me unequivocally state, I do not support Barack Obama. I have never supported Barack Obama. I will never support Barack Obama. And it has nothing to do with the fact that he's black. It has everything to do with the fact that he's keeping his promises from over the years: He's dismantling America as quickly as he can, submitting and spending as quickly as he can and astonishing $4.26 trillion. (Yeah, there's fiscal responsibility, bringing change to Washington and changing the fatcat old boy style of politics. You're now the king of fatcat old boy style politics, Obama. Oh yeah, and the king of spending.) He's communist, plain and simple. In what alternate reality would anyone ever consider I would support communism (socialism is the practice of communism)? It doesn't matter if he's the president of the United States, I won't support anyone who is dismantling the Constitution of the United States and launching us into pure socialism. Never going to change, my friends.

So the question remains: Does Obama have narcissistic personality disorder? Yes.

Shucks, I guess I won't get invited to the White House for Christmas.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe. After working with convicts for 26 years I know this bill, if passed, would make them happy and in less danger from their victims.

America As The Last Man Standing

'In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe ?'

Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the Netherlands , at the Four Seasons, New York , introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem .

The speech was sponsored by the Hudson Institute on September 25.

"Dear friends,

Thank you very much for inviting me.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe . Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem .

The Europe you know is changing. You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration. All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe . These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe , street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe . With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam , Marseille and Malmo in Sweden . In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities. In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims. Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin. In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin . The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity. In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system.. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels , because he was drinking during the Ramadan. Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya , Israel . I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe . San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France . One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey .

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies, they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.,.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia.. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel . First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines , Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan , Lebanon , and Aceh in Indonesia . Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel . It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel , Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West. It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel , they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome , Athens and Jerusalem .

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe 's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so."

As Americans we are generally blind to what is actually happening in the world around us. We have fallen into a SLUMBER that feels warm and cozy like our bed on a cold winter's morning. We cannot afford to stay in bed. We must awake and arise to our duties as Americans. We must continue to fight for our liberties and freedoms.

I am not eloquent in my speech and thought on these matters and so I use articles and quotes that reflect the sentiments which are within my heart. There are many out there who are sounding the watch cry. Men and Women who want to preserve this great country. I will continue to post my concerns. I will continue to copy and paste the thoughts of others. I want to be a voice of warning for others. I want to stand on the side of right and believe me I know that I am.

Wake up America and become the voice of reason in a world of chaos.

Federal Government was established to be a liaison with foreign governments. The State has all authority to act within its boundaries. The County within its boundaries and the towns/cities within their boundaries without federal government involvement. In other words the people have the right to to determine what is good for their area.

With the federal government telling the people what to do in their own homes and neighborhoods they have violated the very foundation upon which a free government was established by our founding fathers. How else are we to govern ourselves?

The government tries to tell us what our children will be taught (homosexuality is normal), what can and can't happen in our homes (no teaching of principles which are opposed to government teaching, like homosexuality being normal). We demanded our freedom from Mother Britain so that the government could not tell us what we had to believe in.

We must demand that our states take back their sovereignty. We must demand that power be returned to the people. We must demand that we do not come under a socialistic or communistic rule. We must demand that our appointed representatives listen to the voice of the people. We must take action in order to save this nation from falling into a course of government that it cannot escape from.

Today we are witnessing the biggest robbery in the history of the human race. And, we are watching it occur in the bright light of day. All you have to do is pick up a current newspaper, tune in to the national news, or if you want to watch it in real time tune in to C-SPAN. The robbers are rationalizing their intended theft by giving nice names like "bailout" and "stimulus" but don't be fooled, this is a robbery.

The real tragedy of this robbery is that the victims being stolen from aren't able to defend themselves. By saddling ourselves with nearly a trillion dollars of new debt we are ensuring that our kids and grandkids will be paying for our excess for decades to come.

In addition to robbing future generations we are robbing ourselves of the freedom to conduct business in a free and open marketplace.

Many will say that we need this bailout to jump start the credit industry or we need this stimulus package to kick start the economy. The fact is that it was government interference that caused the problem in the first place. And continued government interference will only deepen the problem and lengthen the amount of time needed to correct it.

We are quickly moving from a free market economy to a centrally planned one. Instead of an economy driven by simple supply and demand we are moving to an economy where government will determine who succeeds and who fails. There will be little or no regard to efficiency and even need. The only factor that will be talked about is growth and stimulus. Innovation, competition, entrepreneurism, and all other positive hallmarks of a free market will become things of the past.

Fasten your seatbelts folks. It’s going to be a rough ride.

Thank you Candace for asking for this exceptional and to the point view of what is happening in Washington. Bread lines here we come!

How many of you are now seriously preparing for the drought that is about to come in the American economy? How long can you last without a job or the means to pay your bills? How many families can we cram into one house trying to take care of our own? People reality is staring us in the face. It's right there, but we need to open our eyes and see it for what it is. A fraud.

Our "new" working force cannot make ends meet now, how will they in the years to come? Those on Social Security and with disabilities cannot make it now, who will take them in if the family doesn't have the means to provide for them?

The prophets have spoken in scripture and in modern times to prepare. Joseph of Egypt heeded the warning Pharaoh was given in a dream from the Lord. Joseph was the reason that thousands were saved when the famine hit. Joseph was able to save his own family.

Are our storehouses full? Have we even begun to prepare? Do not procrastinate. Remember that it wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

Think before you vote

Just remember that we ALL started out as "dumb kids". Dad didn't mean that you were a dummy, not smart, just a kid, and kids are mostly dumb, not because they lack smarts, just don't know how the world works. We all had crazy ideas about how things "should" be, and that, if given the chance, we would show the rest of the world how things should be done.

Anyway, I am not a lemming, I don't forward emails, or listen to a narrow spectrum of points of view. I listen to everyone who speaks, I research (i.e. read a lot) the topic, and decide for myself whom I will believe. Based on my understanding of where you stand, from the things you have said, I am curious to know where you are getting the information upon which you are basing your beliefs?

As an individual, are you not at all affected by the history of your own upbringing? Don't most of us, at least to a certain degree, have a foundation which is based upon the things we were taught as children? If that is true, to any extent, doesn't it, then, seem plausible that Senator Obama might have some fairly anti-American tendencies? Have you read anything from his own books?

Have you studied real Muslim theology? Or talked to any devout Muslims? I have. I have researched William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and read up on some of the not so above board financial dealings in which Sen. Obama was involved in back in Chicago.

If you spend some time tracking an animal through the wild, you can learn a lot about that particular animal, and also about the species. The same is true about a person. If you, as a police officer, were trying to find out about a person, what he was about, wouldn't you look at his known associates, places he frequented, investigate his dealings? If you really do that with Sen. Obama, you MUST see that the man has, at the very least, a cloudy past.

Even if you put all that aside, and just look at what he has done since becoming a Senator, don't you think that the guy needs more of a track record before we put him in the chair of the most powerful office in the world? Leave all the discussion about non-votes, bad votes, and everything else out of it and look at it as though you were hiring this man to run your company while you are away for 4 years. Totally on his own, without your input, do you actually believe that he has the qualifications, the experience, the track record, for you to be able to trust him implicitly with your baby?

See, I don't believe that he does. Oh, he talks a good days work, but I don't see where he has done very many of them. This is terribly important, because we, as a country, are at a critical crossroad in our history. There has been so much damage done, by everyone who has sat in that office over the last 20 years, that it might well come down to just the next two years. If we don't make the right moves, every step of the way, there may not be a United States of America anymore.

I am not being overly dramatic here. The world owns more of us than we own ourselves, and the time is fast approaching when the notes will be called due. The amount of leverage against us in the financial world, among countries who do not care if we go under, is monumental. This is very likely the equivalent to "the straw that broke the camel's back".

We need strength, courage, experience and wisdom, along with a powerful military, to survive against the forces who are gathering against us. We need a military man, willing to sacrifice his all for this country, as we go forward into these most difficult of times.

A moderate won't do. A "world citizen" would be disastrous. We need an American, tried and true, to take care of OUR people, OUR country, first and foremost.

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six, the economy was fine.

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

4) The DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +

5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises,

vacations overseas, living large..!!

But American's wanted 'CHANGE' So, in 2006 they voted in a

Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right.

In the PAST YEAR:

1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;

2) Gasoline has been over $4 a gallon!;

3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);

4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by

$12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices continue

5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~

$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT..!!!

ACORN Could Cause Obama's Fall

As Obama lengthens his lead, the Republicans are praying that the election becomes close enough for the Democrats to steal. But meanwhile, ACORN, the radical community group, is becoming an embarrassment for Obama.

It is not as if its shenanigans are likely to tip the result, with the Democrats so far ahead. But as it is raided by the FBI in state after state (11 so far), it is becoming identified as the electoral equivalent of Greenpeace, extremists who will stop at nothing to get their way.

What makes ACORN particularly embarrassing for Obama is that he used to be one of them. He served as general counsel for ACORN in Illinois, channeled millions to the organization from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (whose funds he distributed) and has lately spent $800,000 of his campaign money to subsidize the group's activities.

For this emolument, ACORN has registered voters 15 times over, canvassed the graveyards for votes, and prepared to commit electoral fraud on a massive scale.

With friends like this, Obama doesn't need enemies. As their radical activities make headlines every day, Obama's intimate involvement with these radicals becomes more and more of a political liability.

The other Obama scandals have no topical relevance. The Rev. Wright no longer spews hatred from the pulpit and has apparently been persuaded to stay away from media interviews. William Ayers is likewise making himself scarce, and the Obama/Ayers relationship, whatever it may have been, is clearly in the past.

Rezko is facing sentencing in his own corruption case, but isn't likely to turn on the one man who may acquire the power to pardon him.

But, as Election Day approaches and early balloting proceeds in many states, ACORN's tactics will get more and more media attention. As election officials discover ACORN frauds, the association will become more injurious to Obama, particularly when it is his own campaign that is funding many of the fraudulent activities.

At the very least, the negative publicity ACORN will attract will paint Obama as a radical with questionable judgment. At the most, it might cause voters to wonder if he is not himself involved in electoral fraud.

The recent book by Wall Street Journal editor John Fund, "Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy," discusses the prevalence of voter fraud, made newly possible by lax enforcement of laws requiring identification to vote. As Fund indicates, the motor/voter laws have encouraged waves of new voters, many of them ineligible to participate. Let us remember that eight of the Sept. 11 hijackers were registered to vote!

So ACORN is the gift that will keep on giving as its activities attract attention while Election Day nears. But are these McCain attacks on Obama going to work?

Clearly they have not so far. Obama has lower negatives than McCain, and his unfavorable rating has not risen despite the avalanche of attack advertising to which he has been subjected.

Possibly, voters are just inured to the attacks and disregard them. But more likely they are just distracted by the financial meltdown all around them. We have never had a presidential race, since 1944, where the contest was not the most important news in the four weeks before the election. (In 1944, the war overshadowed the election, much to the frustration of the Republican candidate, Thomas E. Dewey.)

The candidates seem unable to get a word in edgewise as the financial news dominates. People follow the Dow Jones more than the Gallup, Rasmussen, or Zogby polls.

If the presidential race remains an afterthought, crowded out by the financial news, Obama will waltz into the White House by a comfortable margin. But if the stock market stops its gyrations for a while and no new household name/corporation or bank goes broke, the negatives against Obama will compel attention at last.

And then the race may close swiftly and dramatically.

Here's the question? Will their criminal activities, the fact that Obama's campaign paid an ACORN subsidiary $800,000 for voter registration, the fact that he is a communist who doesn't even try to hide, the fact that he paraphrases Karl Marx often, the fact that he hates the America I know and love and is fighting with everything in him to bring a Marxist society to reality in America, the fact that he despises and disrespects honest, hard-working Americans, the fact that he has associated with, gone to church with, worked with and befriended a terrorist, a racist preacher, a racist priest and worked with a criminal organization . . . will any of that keep people from voting for him? No. Because they believe him when he tells them none of this true. But people, listen to what he's said. Read what he has written. Study his voting record. Study his policies. Study his rhetoric. But no, that they won't do . . . or if they do, they buy into "America is a racist, terrorist nation and needs to be destroyed" rhetoric and cannot see the truth when it is right before him.

There is no explanation for the Obama virus which has swept the nation.

This woman is a devout Catholic, and in times is very emphatic in her desire to for Americans to repent and return to the straight and narrow path. In Germany, when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial depression. Money was worth nothing. In Germany people lost homes and jobs, just like in the American Depression in the 1930s, which we have read about in Thoene's Shiloh books.

In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to power by promising "Change."He blamed the "Zionists" around the world for all our problems. He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had caused every problem we had. He promised when he was leader, the greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would be wiped off the face of the earth.

So Hitler was elected to power by only 1/3 the popular vote. A coalition of other political parties in parliament made him supreme leader. Then, when he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did not go along with him.

Yes. Change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would. The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer's programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the play yard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school.

My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school. The political hymns of children proclaimed Change was coming to our homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust. I will never forget my father's face. Grief and fear. He knew that the best propaganda of the Nazis was song on the lips of little children.

That evening before he said grace at the dinner table, he placed his hands upon the heads of my brothers and me and prayed the Living Word upon us from Jeremiah 1:4-5…

'Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,
‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
‘and before you were born I consecrated you;
‘I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Soon the children's songs praising the Fuhrer were heard everywhere on the streets and over the radio."With our Fuhrer to lead us, we can do it! We can change the world!"

Soon after that Papa, a pastor, was turned away from visiting elderly parishioners in hospitals. The people he had come to bring comfort of God's Word, were "no longer there." Where had they vanished to while under nationalized health care? It became an open secret. The elderly and sick began to disappear from hospitals, feet first, as "mercy killing" became the policy. Children with disabilities and those who had Down syndrome were euthanized.

People whispered, "Maybe it is better for them now. Put them out of misery. They are no longer suffering…And, of course, their death is better for the treasury of our nation. Our taxes no longer must be spent to care for such a burden." And so murder was called mercy.

The government took over private business. Industry and health care were "nationalized."NA-ZI means National Socialist Party) The businesses of all Jews were seized. (Perhaps you remember our story in Berlin on Krystalnacht in the book Munich Signature?)

The world and God's word were turned upside down. Hitler promised the people economic Change? Not change. It was, rather, Lucifer's very ancient Delusion leading to Destruction. What began with the propaganda of children singing a catchy tune ended in the deaths of millions of children. The reality of what came upon us is so horrible that you in this present generation cannot imagine it.

Our suffering is too great to ever tell in a book or show in a black and white newsreel. When I spoke to Bodie about some of these things, she wept and said she could not bear to write them. Perhaps one day she will, but I asked her, "who could bear to read our suffering?"

Yet with my last breaths I warn every Christian and Jew now in the name of the Lord: Unless your course of the church in America is spiritually changed now, returning to the Lord, there are new horrors yet to come.

I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah.

Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the "mercy killing" of tiny babies who are not wanted.

There are so few of us left to warn you. I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians.

Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote? Do you vote based on an abortionist's empty promises and economics? Or do you vote according to the Bible? Thus says the Lord about every living child still in the womb…

‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
‘and before you were born I consecrated you…"

I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth. I see them again now. Christians! Unless you stand up now, you will lose your freedom of religion.

In America priests and preachers have already lost their freedom to speak openly from their pulpits of moral danger in political candidates. They cannot legally instruct you of which candidate holds fast to the precepts of scripture! American law forbids this freedom of speech to conservative pastors or they will lose their "tax exempt" status.

And yet I have heard the words of Obama's pastor Damning America! I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small towns because you "Cling to your religion…"

But I am a woman whose name is unknown. My life is recorded as a work of fiction. I have no fear of reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book. (Though the Zion Covenant books are mocked and condemned by the Left in America.)

I am an old woman and will soon go to be with my Lord. I have no fear for myself, but for all of you and for your children, I tremble. I tremble at the hymns to a political leader which your children will sing at school.

(Though even now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in public school!)Your vote must put a stop to what will come upon America if Barrack Obama is elected.

I pray you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your children and your grandchildren. Do not be deceived. The Lord in Jeremiah 1:7-8 commands: … every believer to speak up!

"Do not say, 'I am only a youth,' for to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you, declares the Lord!"

Dear Friends,

I was a young girl in Germany and lived through difficult times. We have since then had a wonderful life. The world, as difficult as it has been, at least for many years remembered what happened politically in Germany with the Depression in the 1930s. You remember how it began and thus progressed with the horrors of war which followed.

The battle was at the beginning a Spiritual battle.

You have read some parts of my story in the Zion Covenant, from growing up in Germany in the days when evil men prevailed and TRUTH was turned upside down. White became black through a barrage of propaganda and constant repetition of lies against those who spoke the truth.

Here is my warning to all: Perhaps it will be my last warning. (I wake up each day surprised that I am still here and not in heaven with those who wait for me!)

America and the whole world hangs in the balance now. I believe that America will stand or fall depending on who is elected President this year. Good Americans, like the good Germans of my youth, may think that the issues of their nation center around the economy. I tell you now that the fate of the greatest nation on earth does not depend on money.

Every issue must only be judged worthy and true by the Word of God. Prosperity comes to a nation and a people who serves the Lord first. That is a basic spiritual principle which is seen in every book of Holy Scripture.

"If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

This is where the healing of America begins: Friend, you must begin with examination of your own life first and the confession of your sins. Then pray for your nation. Ask yourself now: who supports the rights of the unborn babies and also of those who are handicapped?

History tells us why this is critical:

In the Germany of my childhood, everyone worried about the economy. Paying bills. Buying bread. Money! And there were 1 million abortions in the year before Hitler came to power. (A drop in the bucket compared to America.) The excuse given for the murder of unborn babies was that economic times were hard. How could a family feed another mouth?

There followed the legalized forced sterilization of parents who had a handicapped child or who were judged "racially impure."

Next came the legalized euthanasia of those who were handicapped. (An example of who would be killed is the Downs Syndrome child of Sarah Palin. He would have been killed immediately at birth.)

Do we not see such choices carried out with tiny babies being strangled or left to die by abortionists today? Evil advances forward in America by law! This is done with the support of men and women in office who have sold their souls for power. In those days in Germany all, who were, as I am now, elderly or ill, were gassed. These were all called "useless eaters."

Christians and Jews who spoke out against this evil were labeled as radical "religious fanatics." A campaign of false accusation, slander and persecution began, targeting people of faith. It was "unpopular" to speak the TRUTH. Were these persecuted Christians people like you? Many were jailed and eventually killed. Some escaped with only their lives.

Finally, by millions, Jews were hunted, imprisoned and killed. You know all this from the Zion Covenant books. I lived it.

Now, today, I hear the words and know the deeds of this Barack Obama and I know that he is a "gifted," convincing, fellow. He is telling you how bad you have it and saying to Americans he is their messiah and the answer to all problems.

The propaganda machine loves Obama. The power of the media is much greater than in my childhood; a frightening thought.

But here is TRUTH: of all men in the US government this Obama has most strongly encouraged and urged the on-going slaughter of the unborn…"the useless mouths" of America. This slaughter is performed in the name of "A woman's reproductive rights."

In the land of my birth, the Holocaust all began with the first step of legalized abortion. Abortion was ENCOURAGED by a downturn in the world economics.

Scripture teaches us the survival of a nation is not about the economy. The only nation which will stand is the nation which follows the Lord and the true teachings of scripture.

I warn you, my dear American friends, with love in my heart and with my last breaths that no man or woman, Protestant or Catholic, can remain in God's favor or blessing if they vote for this Obama. This is a man who voted four times to leave tiny babies who survived abortions to die!

I know many devout American Catholics in my life and many who have never voted for the man Obama who is gifted in his words but NOT speaking the TRUE WORDS OF OUR LORD OR THE CHURCH!

You cannot be a true Catholic Christian and vote for Obama. To vote for him is to vote for continued infanticide. To Protestant Christians, I say, you are not a Christian if you support the slaughter of the unborn!

Christianity and abortion are spiritually impossible companions.

Protestants and Catholics MUST UNITE in this battle. The victory must be overwhelming!

Do you feel you cannot vote for Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin, who are for the LIFE of the unborn and handicapped? If you cannot support these leaders, then for the sake of your soul, NOT TO VOTE for Obama or anyone who does not support protection of LIFE!

For all those American politicians who have the chance to change the course toward destruction, I who have been witness to national and worldwide tragedy, urge you protect those in your society who are the most helpless. Publicly deny your support of Obama. According to 2 Chronicles 7:14 you must turn your life around for the sake of your soul and your country!

To those politicians who use "FAITH" to get votes while they follow the path of destruction, I must speak this warning: "God will not be mocked."

If you, as a Christian, can vote, and if you can encourage others to vote, then you must VOTE FOR LIFE. In the judgment of heaven, there is no other choice but LIFE and protection of the innocent for a Christian.

I am thankful to Bodie and Brock for letting me be heard once more. They agree with history and with the Truth of scripture. Most of my generation is gone now. You who are taking control of the world have a fight ahead of you as the memory of our peril dims. I have heard and listened closely to the voices of Sarah Palin and John McCain, and my spirit bears witness that they speak truth and family and also for John McCain. You must all remember what happened to us and not repeat the same mistake of apathy.

If I cannot write to you again I pray we will meet in heaven and you will tell me I helped you encourage others to do the right thing for the sake of your soul and for the nation.

Magical Movie Moments - Speed Racer

Some movies in life you just have to go-with-the-flow of it until you catch on to what the writers and director are shooting for. Speed Racer was that way for me...or maybe I was just slow catching on.

I liken Speed Racer to "Tron" that came out in the '80s. Tron was the newest technology for my generation when it came out. Speed Racer, with all of its computer antics, has much of the same "wow" factor for today's generation.

Going from past to present to set the tone and the plot for the movie, Speed Racer is a story of family loyalty and following the dream that lives within.

"The story begins with Speed Racer who is a young man with natural racing instincts whose goal is to win The Crucible, a cross-country car racing rally that took the life of his older brother, Rex Racer. Speed is loyal to the family business, run by his parents Pops and Mom. Pops designed Speed's car, the Mach 5. The owner of Royalton Industries makes Speed a lucrative offer, Speed rejects the offer, angering the owner. Speed also uncovers a secret that top corporate interests, including Royalton, are fixing races and cheating to gain profit. With the offer to Speed denied, Royalton wants to ensure that Speed will not win races. Speed finds support from his parents and his girlfriend Trixie and enters The Crucible in a partnership with his one-time rival, Racer X, seeking to rescue his family's business and the racing sport itself. Magical Movie Moments - Iron Man

"Since Marvel Comics and CGI started their mystical marriage in the late 1990s, we've had superheroes galore. Hulks, Surfers, Spidermen, not to mention constantly renewed Batmans and Supermans. So what does Iron Man have to offer that's different? A flawed character that becomes honourable is the answer, triumphing in the battle of Good over Evil in spite of being a bit of a prat." That statement is perhaps the most redeeming value I give to this movie. The beginning was unbearably slow. The action was never really built up to a high pinnacle. The bad guy was obvious. The whole movie was spelled out for you. I prefer to think about what I'm watching and see if I can find value in it for myself.

My children thought it was another great movie in the Marvel Comic line. Some watched it in theater and insisted we get it for our collection. The movie is okay for our collection, but not one I would readily recommend to friends and family.

This movie stars Robert Downey Jr, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, and Gweneth Paltrow. It is rated PG-13 for violence and implied sexuality.

The hope I have is that now the foundation of Iron Man is laid with this movie, that any others that are made using this character will pick up speed and direction. A more in-depth plot and less ground-work. The future possibilities for sequels to be better than the original is definitely in the cards.

"Marvel and Paramount approached the CMT show 'Trick My Truck' to select a Truck driver and trick his rig with the Ultimate Ironman makeover. Lance Burk was the lucky driver to be selected. When finished the exterior of the truck was painted to look like Iron Man's armor, led lights were put everywhere, the engine compartment was tricked out, jet thrusters (not real ones obviously) were attached to the back, and a copy of Iron Man's chest plate was attached to the back under a crafted sign that said Iron Man. Magical Movie Moments - The History Channel

There are many wonderful shows out in TV land that are produced for the sole purpose of entertaining us. Literally hundreds of channels with thousands of choices. One could channel surf all day and find anything from games shows to soap operas. That unfortunately is what the majority of Americans do with their TV time.

Cable and satellite companies offer a variety of educational channels too. The History Channel is one of our favorites. We learn from our past. Although there are many inaccuracies, due to man's limited knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, There are still many worthwhile tings to learn.

From "The History Channel" I received a set of DVDs on the Founding Fathers. As mentioned previously in my life, my blood runs red, white, and blue. I try to instill this in my children. This segment of "The History Channel" was a great tutorial for them. Of course all ages are not able to comprehend such a wonderful program. For the younger children I started them out with Charlie Brown's Patriotic tribute.

The Discovery Channel is exactly as it's name suggests. Viewers can watch as the world is discovered in its people, language, culture, children, etc. The sea or the air is open for discovery. My daughter who has some disabilities loves to watch this channel, especially when they have ancient Biblical discoveries associated with it. She had several moments of educational struggles in school, but this channel has her eager and willing to absorb what is taught. Again this is a wonderful channel as far as it is presented correctly (see "Plan of Salvation above").

Do your children need information on any war in history? Check out The Military Channel. Our cousin Weldon can literally live on this channel. I enjoy watching segments with him, because this channel presents wars from both sides of the field. There have been many stories and facts revealed about our allies and enemies, that I would never had learned, because of this channel.

There are so many wonderful channels out there to investigate. The Biography Channel is another favorite. I have segments from Bob Hope, the Osmonds and others.

The great thing is that once you watch a segment and enjoy it, you can usually find it available in their respective stores. Watch it again and again. Teach one generation and then another. Buy them and donate them to local schools or churches. C'mon! Walk on the wild side of education.

This summary is really accurate and I could leave it at that and say "Amen". My job however is more involved than copying other people's work.

"Leatherheads" was my husbands choice of movies last week on Pay-Per-View. while we were in a motel in Salt Lake City. I am not a sports fanatic in any way shape or form. I do enjoy the occasional live baseball game, but anything else....Yes, I did not watch much of the Olympics either.

Now that it is fully understood where I stand with sports, let me say that sports movies get me even less motivated. When I understood that George Clooney was going to be starringin this feature film, I was filled to over-flowing with doubt. "Georgie boy, you're too old for this role," I thought.

I found myself getting involved in the plot and asking if this was based on actual events. (I haven't found anything to confirm that, by the way.) I'll watch sports movies if they are based on true stories. That quality gives them redeeming value!

Just as I was interested in the lives of the characters, we got a call from three daughters (ages 27, 21 and 14) who were stranded in Brigham City. It was getting dark, I couldn't leave them there! So here I was, the anti-sports movie watcher, complaining that I had to miss the end of the movie to go pick up the girls.

With George Clooney, Renee Zellwegar and John Krasinski as stars, this film made a touchdown. It was released in theaters in April and is now available on DVD. Rated PG-13 for "brief strong language", this film will score in your home.

Magical Movie Moments - The Brothers Grimm

Don't let the title fool you. This movie "The Brothers Grimm" is not based on the true life events of the Brothers Grimm as I originally thought. Instead it is the product of a great imagination which stems from the mind of Ehren Kruger.

Kruger basis this movie on the fairy tales of The Brothers Grimm. The Brothers (played by Matt Damon and Heath Ledger) encounter in their travels an enchanted forest. "...the brothers (Heath Ledger and Matt Damon, both inexplicably adopting English accents) are con artists who go from town to town posing as conjurers who can protect the local populace from evil spirits. A French general (Jonathan Pryce) catches on to what they're doing and forces them to work for him, on pain of death. But when they're sent to a new town, their old tricks prove useless against an age-old curse that really does haunt the woods." (Author: kylopod (kylopod@aol.com) from Baltimore, MD)Many references to fairy tales (most recorded by the Grimms) are made, but they are slightly different from the actual tales: - Little Red Riding Hood is referred only by her Red Riding Cape, which follows her name in the original German, Rotkäppchen. - The heroic woodsman from "Little Red Riding Hood" is now an evil henchman. - Rapunzel is now an evil queen who locks herself in a tower to escape a plague rather than a princess imprisoned. - The Big Bad Wolf is now a large wolf rather then a diabolical personification. - The Gingerbread Man is now an incarnation of a mud monster. - Jack from Jack and The Beanstalk is changed to Jake to follow along with the brother's names. - Hanzel and Gretel refer to themselves as "Hanz" and "Greta", which are shorter abbreviations of their own names. - Cinderella or the German form Aschenputtel is really the Grimm Brothers as they scrub the floors. The deleted scene in the DVD shows this better. - The evil queen is also the queen from Snow White in her chant about who's the fairest of them all. - All the girls' fingers are pricked as they fall into a deep sleep just like Sleeping Beauty. - As the Woodsman is preparing Angelika for the crypt, he places slippers on her feet, which turn into glass slippers, another reference to Cinderella. Correction: The Woodsman is preparing Sasha, placing a gold ring on her little toe that magically becomes glass slippers, with another reference when the crypts are opening and the girls are clicking their glass slippers together, especially seen in the crypt on which Cavaldi is lying. The "reality" of this fairy tale is that it is definitely geared for older teens and adults with its PG-13 rating. It is not a fairy tale made mushy and soft like the Barbie movies. This is action and drama. I found it intense, my older children found it "cool". Its a refreshing twist of the classics.

Magical Movie Moments -Glenn Close

My last entry spoke of good-hearted, wholesome dramas including "Sarah Plain and Tall" starring Glenn Close. Today I would like to look at teh actress a little closer and share some of her diverse talents.

Her career was jump-started when George Roy Hill spotted her performing on stage and asked her to audition for Garp's mother in the movie "The World According to Garp", which premiered in 1982.

After this break through Glenn Close was offered other roles, most notably for me, "Fatal Attraction". I saw this movie once. The portrayal Glenn Close gave of a psychotic woman bent on revenge due to complete obsession with a one night stand, was enough to keep me from watching it a second time. In the military I worked with a mentally disturbed woman. I was assigned as her protector at one point. The injuries that the psychotic woman gave herself was similar to those also self inflicted by my co-worker. I had seen reality in person and then again on the screen several months later.

Glenn Close held several dramatic and deeply enthralling roles in her life, but she also has let her hair down with roles in "Mars Attack!" and the live action versions of "101 Dalmations" and "Hook".

She has also been used as an animated voice in such movies as "Hoodwinked" and "Tarzan I & II". Glenn has been an executive producer for various movies including the Sarah Plain and Tall series.

Her talents are not limited to the big screen however. She has been in television dramas such as "The Shield", "Will and Grace", "The West Wing", "Sesame Street" and the "The Simpson". This in itself shows her versatility.

Recently she was in a new series called "Damages". She plays the role of career minded, back-stabbing, litigation lawyer Patty Hewes who wants to bring down tycoon, CEO Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson). Patty will stop at nothing to win and case. Her characters manipulation skills are "3-D" in emotion. The viewer can't help to hate her.

Christy was a TV series which ran in the '90's. For those who don't have the time nor the funds to purchase the entire 21 episodes, dvd's of the pilot and double episodes are available through your local video stores and Columbia house. The second movie series relweased by Hallmark movies is "Sarah Plain and Tall", "SkyLark" and "Winter's End". Glenn Close and Christopher Walken star in this series. This is when I fell in love with Christopher Walken. I sought out more movies with him in them, but this series still remains my favorite. For children who grew up with Glenn Close as Cruella DeVil in "101 Dalmations" this series will give them a whole new perspective on the woman they loved to fear.

"Love Comes Softly" is the first in this series based on the books by Christian Author Janette Oke. As is typical with this series and the other two I ahve written about, the struggles of farming the land, fitting in, and surviving hardships in new surroundings, bring the love and the adventure home.

Husbands who enjoy western type movies will enjoy all of these. The children will get added teachings about "Love Thy Neighbor" and being self-sufficient. Adults can dream of a better life in this fast paced and hectic world. The Spirit of the Lord will testify of the goodness of these movies. The best part is that there are at least 3 movies in a set. Get the children hooked on drama and goodness.

The term includes stand-alone set-top boxes, portable media players (PMP) and software for personal computers which enables video capture and playback to and from disk. Some consumer electronic manufacturers have started to offer televisions with DVR hardware and software built in to the television itself; LG was first to launch one in 2007.^[1] It has also become the main way for CCTV companies to record their surveillance, as it provides far longer recording times than the previously used VCRs.^{[citation needed]

We actually have a moment to sit down and watch a show. The television is now on. Ahhhh...the moment we've waited for. What is this? Channel surfing?!? Not exactly the way we want to spend our hour or two.

This is why I finally broke down under the pressure of my son and got DVR. If I had truly realized the simplicity and joy of it earlier I might have less gray hair. I love crime mysteries like CSI (all of them), Flashpoint (new this season), Bones, Medium, etc.. I however am usually busy during the hours these shows air. Or worse, I forget what day their on.

By marking my shows and prioritizing them, I am guaranteed to be able to watch something I enjoy when I have the time to sit down. Midnight is not an unusual time to watch a show at our house.

For parents it is an excellent way to record shows or movies you approve of. Later the kids can watch it after their home work is done. No more TV excuses that their favorite show is on right after school.

Another excellent idea is to film a movie or show for a specific event. It could be the political conventions, the Olympics that just past, Conference sessions of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the local news. Work interferes with a lot of these important events we should be aware of. DVR or TIVO (depending on the company you're with) will make staying informed a lot easier.

This wonderful feature also includes a fast forward feature so that commercials are cut out. That means you watch the show in less time. Missed a part because of a phone call or a crying baby? No problem pause the show. When you return you can rewind it to the point you lost your concentration. "What did they say?" can now be verified with the rewind option also.

Catching more goofs and bloopers is easier too when you can use the above options. Pausing a show has helped me isolate clues in mystery movies. It has also verified what was or wasn't done in a scene or who was or wasn't present.

Believe me I am not really a TV fanatic, but I sure like these options now. I can pause a live show and not worry about missing any of it because I'm talking to my husband on the phone for ten or fifteen minutes. He gets my full attention and I don't miss the show.

Magical Movie Moments -Osmonds

Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie, and Jimmy Osmond make up the group known as "The Osmonds". They have performed for over 50 years. They recently finished a 50 year, sold out, world wide tour. Many people know of their accomplishments as musicians, but other than die hard Osmond fans, many people may not know of their many screen appearances, whether on their own show or on talk shows. They Osmonds have movie credits under their belts too.

Donny Osmond is currently known for his role in "College Road Trip". The Osmonds however are versatile in their talents. They have appeared not only on screen but on Broadway. Recently, Merrill starred in the "Civil War" musical production in Salt Lake (Spring of 2008). I was lucky enough to get tickets. The production was fabulous. It was made more special because Merrill was in a lead role.

Many Osmond DVD's and VHS are available through their official website, Amazon and ebay (I hope those last two are self explanatory!). My collection of Osmond movies include "Going Coconuts" (A movie Donny and Marie both say was a mistake they don't want to repeat. Interesting to note however, it is Donny's wife Debbie who receives the royalty checks as it was a wedding gift to her.) I personally enjoy this movie as it is perfectly harmless and parent approved. Of course the age range is probably 6-10.

Side By Side is the story of the Osmonds rise to fame. Many of their songs and concerts can now be found on DVD as well. The Brothers (mainly Wayne, Merrill, Jay and Jimmy), still perform on cruise ships , and in Las Vegas.

My favorite is Merrill. I was lucky enough to spend an hour one-on-one with this wonderful man during his Christmas Performance in Reno last year. Besides being star struck, I was totally enthralled with this very "real" man. Polite, gentlemanly, handsome and above all humble. He gave me his full attention and was interested in me as a person, not a fan. At the end of our time he looked at me and asked "What can I do for you?". I was so stunned, I was speechless. My friend, Candace Salima, said she had never seen me speechless. In the end I reverted to fan status and asked for an autograph on a poster mounted in a frame. He gladly complied.

The bottom line is that you can't go wrong with Osmond movies. Always clean and family friendly. The links above with their names will give a list of your favorite Osmond's appearances. Magical Movie Moments - Mary Higgins Clark

One of my favorite authors of all time is Mary Higgins Clark. Her novels are are easy to read, yet thought provoking as to "who-dun-it". She is relatively clean (PG mostly) in her stories. "I don't use explicit sex or violence so I wind up on the reading list for the seventh grade." I've always just preferred the idea of implied violence. The Hitchcock way. How many ways can you shoot people up? I think footsteps... that can be scarier. And I think the sexiest line written this century is, "You'll not shut me out of your bedroom tonight." She has written well over thirty books, twenty-four of which have been on the best seller list. A widow with five children Mary had to make a living some how. With a colorful history to draw from for her novels Mary has never had a regret about any of them. When I got married, I said, "Now I have to learn how to be a professional writer." In the meantime I'd seen Europe, Africa, and Asia, at a time when I would have been a senior in college. I write about her and her background as an introduction to her movies. Based on her novels, Mary Higgins Clark has several movies to her credit. Not that she produced them or scripted them in any way, but she saw her "babies" grow into adulthood as they were shown on the big screen. I have seven of them in my collection. Most of them had been filmed in Canada. One movie is rated "R" because it shows a pencil in the head of a psychiatric hospital guards head. The others are all rated PG-13. These ratings are extremely high when compared to the rating system of the United States. I applaud Canada for their stricter rating. The United States would probably rate them all at PG.

If you don't have time to read the book then go to your local video store and pick up one of the movies. You can't go wrong either way.

Magical Movie Moments - Camp Rock

Camp Rock was released in stores last week. I picked it up today and the kids eagerly grabbed it from my hands and immediately inserted the disc into the player. They sat riveted to their seats during the 98 minute showing.

I had never really listened to the Jonas Brothers before today. I think their tone and music are definitely catchy for this generation. My ear however likens them unto the many Disney artists that are being cranked out yearly like the Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana and others. Joe Jonas, the lead singer, has a squeezing, pushing quality about his singing. It's almost as if he doesn't have natural volume and has to make up for it in a forced attempt. The group sound is good and I am sure that the pre-teen and early teen females don't know the difference. When googling the Jonas Brothers I found page upon page of links for them, so their music works...just not with me.

The movie itself is about a girl who wants to fit in at an elite music camp. Her mother is the camp cook and so she is allowed to attend the camp which would normally be out of her parents financial realm. Of course Mitchie doesn't want the rest of the camp participants to know her background. The plot of deception is set from the beginning and of course the lie comes back to haunt her.

Joe Jonas plays the role of a famous rock singer named Shane Grey who has traveled far from the roots of his original music and is disgruntled with his life. He is the dance instructor at the camp. He hears a beautiful singing voice and is determined to find out who it belongs to. Obviously it is Mitchie.

The moral of the story is to not form pretenses for people, but to be true to one's self. This is a typical, clean, fun musical from Disney. It is safe for all family members to view. As an adult, the movie may appear lacking in substance. It should not be compared to High School Musical.

The best production in the movie is the Camp Rock song. The duet between Shane and Mitchie "This is Me" comes in second.

A good movie for children 5 - 10.

"While Stella is browsing on a Halloween site, she somehow transfers a ghost into real life. They work together on making sure the ghost gets his final wish and that Stella has the perfect haunted house this Halloween. I am not much of a watcher of family movies but I think this one was well done and it kept me entertained and laughing. it was a good change of pace and a neat way to bring "horror" to the kids. I recommend checking this one out for family movie night. This one gets a 3 star rating from me."

Created by Porch Light Entertainment, which distributes and produces some awesome movies for families, "I Downloaded a Ghost" is no exception to the rule. This non-scary ghost movie tells the tale of Stella, the new girl in town and Winston, the cabby comedian who meets death early. Stella wants to have the best haunted house for Halloween, but she is competing against Terry Tomlinson, the rich girl in town.

Winston can't go into the after-life because he has been unjustly accused of robbing a golden cat. Stella can help, but in return Winston must help her with the haunted house. The two use each other to accomplish their goals.

A friendship is eventually formed, not because of usefulness, but because of giving of ones self to one another.

This movie stars Carlos Alazraqui, Ellen Page and Vincent Corazza. Filmed in Canada and made for television in 2004, this film has charm. Reminiscent of Disney movies like "Escape to Witch Mountain", this is sure to be a family favorite for the Halloween celebrations. Rated PG for thematic purposes, there is no documented profanity ot crude humor. This is truly a film for the family.

After watching this movie serve up a special treat with the following recipe:

1 lg box orange Jello. Mix as directed and let set in pan.
Mix 1 package cream cheese with 1 small container cool whip. Top set Jello with mixture.
Crush one package chocolate graham crackers and cover cream cheese mixture.
Use Lorna Doone cookies as headstones and place candy pumpkins around graveyard.

My kids love this and have asked for it every year for approximately 10 years. Maybe it will become one of your family favorites too!

Magical Movie Moments - Indiana Jones

I finally went and saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. My youngest daughter also came. This was the first Indiana Jones movie she has seen. In our home the Indiana Jones movies were banned about 17 years ago when my third daughter got too interested in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. A satanic scene in Raiders had caught her attention at the age of 6 (this was my parental wake up call to the influence of Television in the lives of children).

This Indy movie has no Satanic rituals, but lots of action. Of course the bugs had to be in there. Scorpions (big black ones) crawling on Mutt's body and stinging him, a large snake to make Indy squirm, and big, fat red ants. I love the bug scenes only because it makes me cover my eyes and shake my hands as if they were on me instead of the characters. Vicarious thrill.

Professor Oxley has lost his mind (haven't the best of us though?) and has been kidnapped by the Russians. Ox is trying to return the crystal skull taken from sacred chambers years before. Marion (the love of Indy's life) goes after Ox, only to end up kidnapped herself. Marion's son Mutt tracks down Indy for help and the adventure begins.

Mutt by the way is Indy's son, but we saw that coming from the very beginning.

My daughter enjoyed the movie and now wants to watch the originals. I will probably let her since she is not six and she knows the difference between reality and fiction, right and worng, and righteousness and sin. But as a good parent we all want to evaluate where our children are emotionally and spiritually to know if they are able to handle such movies.

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is rated PG-13 for violence and scary images, but there are also some strong four-letter words. For action and adventure I would recommend it.

Magical Movie Moments - Nim's Island

Nim's Island is a cross between Romancing the Stone and Swiss Family Robinson.

Nim's mother was lost at sea. Nim's story is that the ship Buccaneer caused a whale to swallow her mother. Her father is a marine biologist. They live on their own island (Nim's of course) under the shadow of an inactive volcano.

Dad goes out to sea for what he believes is a couple of days. Where would the story be if nothing happened? Jack gets caught up in a monsoon and his boat is severely damaged and takes on water. His whole goal is to get back to Nim.

Nim also gets caught in the monsoon on her island but is able to overcome her small obstacle.

In comes Alex Rover, adventure novelist whom both Jack and Nim admire greatly. Nim is corresponding with Alex about volcanos while Jack is gone. In fact Nim hikes to the rim of the volcano for Alex. On her way down she is injured.

When Jack does not return home Nim is worried about him and her injury. She implores Alex to come and help out. Alex lives in San Francisco and Nim's address is 20 degrees south, 162 degrees west. Not easily found.

Oh and did I mention that Alex is a recluse with major phobias, like Sigourney Weaver's character Helen Hudson in Copy Cat? Alex only eats Progresso Soup and she has a near nervous breakdown when airport security confiscates her can opener. They also take her "Germ-X" bottles. She can totally identify with Monk. Yet she continues forward encouraged by her every present main character hero from her novel. Her conversations reminiscent of Bogus.

All of this is enough to have the viewer sitting on the edge of their seat but when the ship "Buccaneer" shows up with her crew to turn the island into a Pirate Resort day trip for tourist, Nim must count on all her friends to defend their island.

Galileo (the stork) is busy flying back and forth to Jack's ship helping him repair the problems with his boat. Selkie the sea lion tries dispelling awful scents around the tourists in hopes of seriously offending their senses. Fred the bearded dragon lizard, solicits the help of his friends (or is it his relatives?) in a high-flying caper intended to frighten everyone off the island. Nothing appears to work until Nim's "fake" active volcano turns some what real.

This movie is rated PG and is perfect for every member of the family. Abigail Breslin, Jodie Foster and Gerard Butler are perfect in their lead roles. If you need a good movie for the evening, go buy or rent this at your favorite store. It is a keeper.

"This is a very entertaining lighthearted film, it's for anybody who has a pet. 12 year old Owen Baker(Liam Aiken) is a very lonely boy, who's best friends so far seem to be the neighbors dogs he walks everyday. Owen really wants one of his own. One day his parents take him to the pound to get one. He finds a cute dog and names him Hubble. But Owen slowly discovers, this is no ordinary dog. Who just happens to be a very intelligent dog from outer space. A pure delight for the whole family. Matthew Broderick is also good as the voice of Hubble. It's funny and delightful. This is a canine version of "The Cat from Outer Space".

We have had this movie in our collection for awhile and only today did I sit and watch it. Released in 2003, this movie stars Liam Aiken . Hubble, the universal traveling dog, has come to give a report as to the earth dog's rule. He quickly finds out that they are not what he expected to find, instead they are the dreaded....pets of humans. Hubble explains to Owen (Liam) that if the dogs do not pass the test of the Greater Dane then all dogs will be recalled to Sirius (their home planet).

This film was produced through the MGM studios but has the classic Disney feel to it. One scene at the beginning of the movie has Owen trying to teach Hubble tricks. Hubble seems to be doing a remarkable job as he follows every command the first time. Owen asks Hubble to "play dead", and this dog does the shot-in-the-heart-slow-death- scene. I laughed so hard I had tears.

Rated PG for some mild crude humor, this movie is appropriate for all age groups. I should never have let this movie sit on the shelf for so long. Bon appetite!
