Mormon Temples Explained

With all of the hoopla from Proposition 8 in California, I thought this link explaining the meaning of Temples for Mormons is appropriate to list.

Mormons believe in the sanctity of marriage as outlined by God, the Father. We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. We believe that marriage should be one of the most important decisions of our lives. It is not to be rushed into simply because of feelings one may have towards another. It is a matter of prayer. A matter of firm commitment. A matter of eternal reality.
